DISapalooza speculations????

I think it is in a park. Tracy said that you had to have a park ticket last year because otherwise DU would have had to pay Disney to escort people to the party if they did not have park tickets. John had said that we will meet at a location and will be escorted to the party in a fun way. My first thought was the Land Pavilion also.
I don't know if Disney would let them rent out any part of the MK because it is a Saturday and is open late.
To be honest I hope they don't tell us where it will be. I hope all we are told is where the first location is and you find out when you are escorted to the party.

Don't kill me you guys!:goodvibes

Oh that would be fun! But I don't think that I could stand to NOT know ahead of time...:rotfl:

My initial thought was that they were renting out a land in the Magic Kingdom. I had thought that it might be Tomorrowland or maybe Adventureland...but if the park is open late that night, that wouldn't work...

It sounds so exciting to not know, but my heart skipped a beat just thinking about it. I think I must know before.

OK, I will take a guess..... oh wait, I don't have to guess:rotfl2:

Mean, mean, mean. :sad2::rotfl:

Ok....now sticking out my tounge for a raspberry :cutie:

I am bursting at the seams with excitement reading everyones speculations. It will be so much fun meeting and making new friends!

Can't Wait to find out where it will be. I'll have to wait and wonder Hmmmm. popcorn::

Now you're talking!

I think John would have so much fun with this. :rotfl:

I can just see them leading all of us while we're blindfolded to the secret location. "Oh, I'm sorry - I didn't see that tree & didn't mean to run you right into it"

I know what we're doing. I wasn't going to tell, but since everyone's going so nuts with the speculation, I'll share now ...

We'll have a Magical Fantasyland night after MK closes.

IASW and Teacups all night long!

Oh, that's just plain MEAN! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yes. I think it will be at the studios, and I actually think it will be similar to last years. I think it will be at the studios because Corey references the American Idol Experience (in a joking fashion, but we are just speculating here) and I think it will be similar to last year because A) I think it is in the same park and B) John said they were going to "kick it up a notch" this year, which to me indicates that it will be similar but a bigger scope.

I am probably wrong though! It is amazing that Dreams is doing this though. A big thanks to John and Pete and the whole team for all of the work that goes into putting on an event like this!
Although we are guessing big, I'm going with your guess. :thumbsup2

The Great Movie Ride only holds 225 people. The Land Pavilion is not listed as an event venue on Disney Meetings' website.

If the event is really for 1,500+ people, my guess is either the Wonders of Life Pavilion or the World Showplace Pavilion behind Canada, since both are regularly used special-event venues that hold a huge number of people.

You can narrow down the choices by checking out all the available theme park event venues on Disney Meetings' interactive map, here: http://adisneymeetings.disney.go.com/media/dwm/en_US/media/tools/ipm/IPM.html

The site also has floorplans and capacities for the convention centers, but I'm thinking the DIS wouldn't settle for anything as staid as a ballroom. :cutie:

Thanks for the link. Are you going to join us in December? :)

I hope so - I just wish I knew what was going during DIS-a-palooza on that Friday and Saturday so we could plan accordingly! :hyper:

I looked to see if TSM was listed and it's not. They had the party their last year so I'm guessing just because it not listed does not mean they can't have it in that location.
Thanks for the link! :thumbsup2

My thoughts exactly...I would imagine that if you're willing to pay the $$$, Disney would work with you on some things...

There are lots of great ideas here! Last year was Toy Story Mania - which I didn't know about because I didn't read the Podcast board then. In 2001, Pete arranged for those of us who attended DIS-CON to have 3 hours exclusive use of the Tower of Terror. I'm sure this year's event will be great, because I know Pete dreams big! :)

Whoa - the party was at Toy Story Mania last year? I had no idea the DIS had such clout with Disney. I just assumed that the whole company was as :furious: about the DIS as its weddings department is! :rotfl:
