Disapalooza lodging help needed

OK, now I am terrified. I've been reading Hotels.com nightmares from people who have shown up at hotels and found out they didn't have a room, and that there were none available.

Then they had to jump through hoops to get there money back.

My reservation doesn't show up in Disney's system yet. (To be fair I only booked through Hotels.com until after normal business on Friday night)

I'm paranoid. I like booking myself or with a Dreams Agent, but this was the only place showing availability. RED FLAG!:scared1:

I have the same fears as you, as I also booked one night with hotels.com. I called Disney reservations and they told me that hotels.com is a wholesaler and they have a block if rooms. Disney doesn't receive the booking information until a few days before arrival. I am planning on calling the hotel directly a few days before arrival to check on the reservation. That way, we can prevent any problems.

Thanks, I'll do the same.

Keep in mind until you are standing at the desk checking in the agency owns the reservation. Disney may not be able to tell you anything other than it exists.

Did you receive a Disney confirmation number?

No, Kathy, I have a hotels.com confirmation#, which is meaningless to Disney. I'm still trying to find a room, or even a campsite through Disney, but I keep getting quotes for AKL and CSR for $2000 for 2 nights!:scared1:
