No need to get too excited, it was more of a statement. One can mentioned an over priced coke and still enjoy and be thankful for the event. Lets not assume anything.

As stated earlier.....the Podcast Crew did not set the prices or profit from in any way.

The bars were set up as a convenience for our guests.

If you think this pricing was crazy....I would suggest never visiting a bar in a NYC theater or in a hotel in Rome.

I paid 20 euros for two 12 ounce diet Cokes at the Hotel Excelsior in Rome.

At the time that was approximately $25.00.

Were enough drinks purchased to meet Disney's minimim requirement?

Yikes, now that is steep pricing!
I just wish I could have attended Disapalooza; even with $4.00 cokes. Our local movie theatre charges $3.50 for a bottle of water, so WDW prices really don't seem out of line to me for a theme park.

I understand that you have asked that question previously and I'm not sure that that information will be made public.

Hey, that's okay. Cool with me.

You and the rest of the team know what is best you your business.
I'm just glad that everybody had a great time. I am hoping that it was all good for your business and you will be able to throw a great party again.

i think $4 USD for a can of coke is ridiculous, but then i don't really drink soft drinks anyway, so it wouldn't have bothered me much. soft drink isn't going to quench a thirst!

charging $4 for water is a bit harsh though, but i guess that's the nature of Disney.

EXACTLY. while it may not be the price at the Grocery store, there are places that the prices are a LOT higher. you just go in knowing that upfront.

I was busy cleaning my riot gun!! :lmao::lmao:

It took that long? I should buy you a copy of
Gun_Cleaning_Made_Easy.jpg

I would have thought you would be pretty quick at cleaning a weapon :)

I am a little shocked that people are shocked by the price.

Heck, it is Disney. The same place where we pay 9 bucks for a 1 dollar burger and smile while we are doing so.

Just as comparison go to a a pro ball game and you can expect to pay that or more. A brewsky will set you back 8 - 9 bucks.

Just kind of how it goes.

With that being said, I would have loved to have been there. Would have been more then happy to pay if I could have enjoyed the event.

I second that-I was shocked that people were shocked too. I count myself very, very fortunate that I'm a townie and was able to attend easily-knowing that there were so many who wanted to be there but couldn't.

Just my two cents...

I really do not understand why people are complaining about the price of drinks. It is Disney so you should expect it. Likewise, this was an outstanding private event we were invited to attend. I know that quite a few people did not have to pay for various reasons (I believe if you booked through Dreams that was one???), but even if you did the $25 was no where near what could have been charged. For me, I am just thankful I had the opportunity to attend. I had a blast and it was a very special experience. I can't seeing myself dwelling on the cost of drinks. Besides, we were forewarned in a show or two before DAP took place. I didn't attend the event last year and found out from the podcast to bring my own water bottle in my bag.

exactly!!!

i would have been willling to pay $40/can if only i could have been there!!

Ditto here! Don't want to disregard the OPs opinion, but hey, you got to go! I don't think "Disapalooza" and "complaint" should be in the same sentence. From what I am seeing in the pics and hearing around, there was nothing to complain about with DAP!

If DIS-A-Palooza and complaint fit in the same sentence, it would be that there wasn't enough time to meet/share time with.

Disney did indeed set a minimum amount that must be met.

If that minimum sales figure was not met.... and I don't know if it was....the Dis Unplugged was responsible for making up the difference.

Again, this was Disney's policy and not ours.

I know it wasn't the Dis, but Disney themselves!
We tried to do our part that night. :thumbsup2

Thank you again to the Dis podcast team for doing this for us!
There are not enough words to express our thanks, for the generousity for all that you have done for us!
We love each and everyone of you!:love::love::love:
