DISADVANTAGES to not having an early board time?

Hi!

Our family is flying in to Orlando 3/9 and staying at the Radisson, but won't be there until like 8:30-9:00 PM. We're using the hotel shuttle to get to the Port, but we can't reserve a shuttle time until we actually get TO the hotel.

Because of this, I set the arrival time for us for 12:30 PM, assuming we need to be out of our hotel room by 11 AM. If the shuttles are all booked, I guess we can try Uber or something. Other than not getting on board sooner, are there any potential problems that result from a later board time?

Thanks, as always! This board is the best!

If you are looking to book signature dining or spa reservations in-person on the ship, you might find all slots will be taken by the time you board.

No. We've mostly arrived at the port somewhere in the 12:00-2:00 window on almost all our cruises (not all DCL and not all Port Canaveral). The biggest plus is there's typically no line for check in or boarding by that time, and you often can go directly to your room to drop off carry on luggage. Lunch lines are pretty much gone, also.

We've already prebooked everything like that that we would want to do. Already have Princess Meet and Greet and Frozen Meet and Greet tickets reserved, and we're not doing Palo or Remy this time around...it's our first cruise, the standard restaurants will be amazing enough for us, I'm sure. :)
