Disabled vet and discount as SoG

I also found this on how room rates are calculated.

Room Rates: Room Rates are based on military rank or civilian grade at the time of check-in. If you are a retired military member, your rate will be based on the rank achieved at the time of your retirement. Retired civilian members of the military community will pay the Category #3 rate. For others associated with the military (i.e. 100% disabled Veterans, Medal of Honor Recipients, etc.), please click here for Room Rate details. Room Rates are based on two adults occupying a standard room and four adults occupying the suites; for single occupancy, subtract $2 from the listed rate. Add $15 per additional adult 18 years or older. E1 through E5, and Cadet sponsor and dependents will receive the rate that applies to category one; any additional sponsored rooms will receive the rate that applies to category two. Rates are available year-round with the exception of Holiday packages at Christmas and New Years. Room Rates are subject to change without notice.

This gives you the actual rates. http://www.shadesofgreen.org/roomrates.pdf

No. You aren't even eligible to stay there if you are a veteran, unless you have been retired (medically or time wise). However, they have been having special months when veterans can stay; I believe it is in September and January.

It depends. For the above referenced link to eligibility.

Honorably discharged veterans with 100 percent Service-connected disability. ID is DD Form 1173 or DD Form 2765

Note I only I looked into this for my BIL and he is only 10% and does have a VA card, but didn't look into to it any further since it wasn't 100%. Hope others can chime in, BTW is Cheshire Figment still around, he would have been the person to give the best answer.

My dad was 100% disabled and then they reduced his rating to 10%. We could only stay there when he was 100% disabled. I don't know why the difference but that's the rules.:confused3

Thanks for the info. Our family member is 80%. I guess we are out of luck. Thanks anyway for the information.
