Disabled Illuminations section ?

Is there just tr one section near the beginning of World Showcase? And the sign yesterday said it opens at 8:00pm. Do you usually line up early and can your whole party of five be with you? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Last year there were two sections at the top edge of the World Showcase, one on either side of the store. There was also an area across from Germany.

Your whole party (up to 6?) can go into the area with you. They do ask that the non-disabled stay in the back or sit down so as not the block the view of those who have to remain in a chair.

To get a spot up by the rail, with no one in front of you, you need to get there shortly after it opens. My family likes to get there at 8 and get spots, then send scouts out to find food carts and bring back treats. The CM handling the rope does not have a problem letting them in and out.

I moved the from the disABILITIES Community Board to the disABILITIES Board.

Besides the areas already mentioned, there is also a handicapped viewing area along the water between the UK and Canada. You can look at the park maps to check whether all are being used.

How quickly the spots fill up vary a lot, so I would plan to be there at 8. They generally line up the wheelchairs and ECVs very close together at the front of the area.
How full the area gets also varies. It can be full enough that they would have 2 or more rows of mobility devices.
Usually, a party of up to 6 (5 plus the person with the disability) will be allowed into the area. If it is extremely busy, they may allow only the person using the mobility device and one member of their party.

For Illuminations, there are good spots all along the water. Many people with mobility devices just choose a spot to park along the fence. That way, the rest of your party can stand next to you.
