Disabled guests visiting DLP

Hi,

I was reading a trip report on another forum about a family having increased wait times on some rides.
Have there been any recent changes, since September, in the way DLP operate rides for disabled guests and accompanied adults?

I know they have made changes in the past, last Sept. we got a green disabled priority card for Joshua and they put a cross in the 'guest with difficulty, standing, walking' box as well as a black mickey EARS stamp with the number 2 in the 'accompanying adult' bit.

The parks were fairly quiet with most rides a walk on, however I am reading that people are now being given hand written fast passes to return later but not on all rides.

Anyone aware of any changes?

I guess the impact depends on how crowded it is, after several trips to WDW our last couple have been to DLP.
Thankfully we go next in early June outside school holidays.

Update.

Just read our 'Disney Parks Accessibility Guide' that we were given at DLP last year and it's the same as the current online version.
So no changes since we last went, at least in theory!

I imagine it's just a case of it's really busy you may be given a fastpass return time on some rides, like happened in August a few years ago, but didn't happen when in was much quieter last September.
Early June, I think we will be okay. :)

Yes, it's a case of crowd level and also group size seems to be a factor.

In December a family of 6 was given a return time for Small World while I (solo) was allowed to ride right away.

We visited in late November for the first time, so we didn't know that this way of doing things wasn't customary...but on a handful of rides, we were given these 'passes' to return at a specified time.

This happened on IASW, POTC and Autopia. Also, we were asked at PM to wait 10 minutes as they had just let someone with a pass thru, and they had to wait an allotted time before sending another thru.

It was just we 3, DS had a pass reflecting he has Asperger's (no mobility issues)... :)

I think they can only let so many through at the same time.
That happened with us in August 2011 - it was just I read a recent trip report where people were saying there had been more recent changes, but
I know now that's not necessarily the case.

I think it just has more of an impact when it's crowded as on visits since we have been straight on most rides.
