Disability Pass Question

I am within the 30 day window of our trip, and I was able to pre-register my son for the Disability Pass. Very helpful. I believe I have to pick something up at Guest Services. Is there a "quicker" location than others?

I am not clear on how I use it beyond having our Express Passes. She mentioned Hagrids, Velocicoaster and one other that don't take EP. Do these rides use VQ? And I use this on top of that? I'm confused. Thanks! (how do you do VQ anyway??)

The other ride that doesn't take EP is Pterodon Flyers, which requires a child under a height limit to ride (you can with that child, but you can't ride unless you have a child under their height requirement).

As above, no VQs available, haven't been for quite a long time. Universal should really remove mentions from their website.

guest services is where I go for the card
i take care of this once I am in the park

ETA: I know this is an older thread, but JJ helped me with this, and it was bumped on Thursday so... here's my experience. LOL

@macraven is right, you don't NEED to preregister but you now can if you want, within 30 days of your trip with Guest Services for Universal Orlando. For me it was easier to explain my situation over the phone, without worrying about other people around me listening or stressing that the line is too long to even attempt a Guest Assistance Pass. You can email GuestServices@UniversalOrlando.com or call (407) 224-4233, option 5.

I chose to call about 2 weeks out, provided them with the necessary information and they gave me a confirmation number to use once we got to the parks. You still do need to go to Guest Services to pick up the pass, but knowing I was already confirmed took some stress away. We chose to get ours at Guest Services by Hogsmeade Station. We had to provide the confirmation number, photo id (or room key) and everyone's tickets. Phone call was about 5 mins long, she was extremely helpful explaining the pass and what rides it covers.

Thank you for clarifying this!
i too prefer to do it in advance and privacy.

@yellowfish78 question that you might know the answer to- when you get a return time with the pass, do you have to return within a certain time from that return time or can you show up anytime thereafter like you can at Disney? I know you can't get another return time until you use the first one but if we get a return time of 1:00 pm and don't show back up until 5:00 will they still let you use it? or does it expire?

Does anyone know if you can use the AAS at mummy while it isn't taking express?

We rode Mummy during the OI event (no AAS during that) and we were sent down a different hallway with my son in his WC. (There was no line for the ride during the event but I guess there are stairs, I don't remember that part lol).

In case anyone else is wondering, I contacted guest services and asked about the mummy and yes the AAS can be used there while express is not running.
