I will be at Disneyland the 12-17 of October. I have rented a scooter from scooter bug since we are staying at paradise pier. Last time we were at Disneyland there ways a central place to check in for a wheelchair pass to a ride. It would give me a time to return. Is this how it still works? If not, what changes do I need to be aware of? I am unable to stand, and can’t do stairs. I also don’t walk well, hence the scooter. Thanks for your help.

You probably would be better asking the general Disabilities thread. I normally would try to help but I don't use an ECV.

i don't think you need to ck in anywhere, I always go with my mom who is in a wheelchair. On some attractions like peter pan and alice u can ask for a return time, Most u just enter through the exit or ask for assistance. We don't do the thrill rides but im sure its about the same, I know big thunder one time I cked at the exit.

My understanding is that it doesn't work that way. I thought that if there's adequate access they would require guests to stay in line in whatever conveyance and wait in line. Not sure about the rides where there are stairs.

The DAS system seems to be geared towards people with issues in line, such as those with autism who might freak out if the line is too long.

At Disneyland park (not DCA), if you're in a wheelchair or a scooter, you go to the CM who's at the entrance to the ride and ask for a wheelchair return time. They will scan your ticket (and I think everyone in your group with you) and will tell you what the return time is. Then, usually, you return back at that time and you report in at the EXIT to the ride (generally speaking).

DCA, on the other hand, usually has disability entrances for wheelchairs and scooters so you don't necessarily always enter through the exit. But getting the wheelchair return time is the same process.

If you have a DAS pass, then you go to the Guest Relations kiosks (manned by CMs in plaid vests usually) and they give you a DAS return time for that ride that you want to go on.

Most (all?) rides at DCA are accessible, so there shouldn't be a need for a wheelchair return time. Most guests with wheelchairs and ECVs are told to enter the regular line. Which rides require a return time?

I go with my Mom and wheelchair all the time. We use our MaxPass, but also have a few rides that we get return times. We find the easiest thing is just to ask the cast member at the entrance of the ride and they will direct us where we need to go and what the procedure is at a specific ride.

One rides with return times like Peter Pan (for example) it is the same amount of time as the queue currently has as a wait time. For 40 min Queue = 40 min return time. Which is nice because you aren't in line, yet it is still fair to everyone. The CM scans your tickets and then it shows in your app.
