Disability aids hire

Both my wife and I use wheelchairs.

We see no problem getting ourselves, our carers and our wheelchairs to Disneyland Paris. However, we would need to hire a hoist to transfer us from our wheelchairs to our beds each night and back to our chairs each morning. Does anyone know of a local hire company near DLP that could supply a hoist?

I assume that transport between hotels and the parks is wheelchair accessible.

Yes, there is a van that is wheelchair accessible so getting between hotel/parks etc will not be a problem. Unfortunately I can't help with the hoist, I'd suggest you contact DLP direct about this.

I've never heard if hoists being hired. This is a very interesting question to follow.

Apparently portable hoists do exist, though they look bulky and I wouldn't want to transport one except in a car or van

You can even hire all kinds of mobility equipment for delivery to DLP (and other destinations)

Very interested in hearing the results of this - we're travelling to Disneyland in Feb with a child wheelchair user. At the moment we can still lift him, but it will be nice to have an idea of where to look in future if we return.
Also interested in what transport you've arranged, as this is something we've struggled with.
