Dis you "grow into" your clothes when you were little?

I just posted something on another thread that reminded me of this. Not having hand-me-downs to wear I got clothes that were always about two sizes too big. My mother's theory was that if she bought my clothes to fit me I would outgrow them too fast. So, by the time they fit they were worn out. Was your mother like mine?

I definitely remember having "Room to grow" in my clothes when I was little.

I also had lots and lots of hand me downs. I can clearly remember kids saying "Hey, wasn't that Laura's shirt?" since the primary hander downer lived right behind me!

yup, sure do! I do it to my kids also, good thing wearing bigger sizes is now the in thing.
