DIS Unplugged Show Feedback and Suggestions

I would life for Kevin to give us a tour of his Louis Vuitton and bag collection and let us know which bags are best to travel with for various trips such as family vacation, weekend getaway or a cruise.

Just to prove my extreme dislike for Craig Williams' podcast abilities, his actions on the Universal DIS shows is ridiculous. I was just watching the
"DIS Unplugged: Universal Edition - Land & Sea Royal Pacific Resort - 07/08/15" and his comment of "Eff you buddy!" is a prime example of his childish disgusting behavior. He has absolutely no class and should be removed from the broadcasts.

ROFL!!! That could be a whole show!

WebmasterKathy has taken my classes and has started her own Louis Vuitton collection. :love2:

A Keepall in sizes 45 or 55 is a great travel bag for any trip.

Both sizes fir the airlines requirements for carry on luggage.

Spend the extra and but the bandolier (meaning shoulder strap) style.

It allows you to travel hands free.

Sadly kinda true... But on a MUCH smaller scale than Kevin!

But in my defense- at the LV store in Rome, a gorgeous Italian man in a TUXEDO opened the door from inside for me, and they served us champagne (or maybe Prosecco) while we shopped. GOOD champagne! You don't get that kind of attention at Costco.

And let's not talk about Pete's LV collection... :)

If you look up deflection in the dictionary...you may find this post.

Does anyone else hear the classic parent / child conversation...

"But Mommy...Susie did it too"
"I don't care what Susie does. She's not my daughter. If Susie jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?"

:stir:

You kinda have to buy a bag after that kind of treatment lol

Any chance that Craig, JL, Whino...er...Ryno, could get their own theme music for the Universal Show?

I'm thinking something Jurassic Parkish

They don't do that in LV store here on 57th Street. I may have to demand it.

I really hate to single out anyone on the podcast team, but if honesty is what you want, then I'll say that Kevin has become increasingly overbearing on the podcast over time. I have been listening since '08, and it just seems like he's become more and more prone to interrupting people and hijacking conversations in order to voice his opinion on a given matter. It's not that he's opinionated (and often I agree with his opinions), but that he seems to think that what he has to say on the topic at hand is so germane and so important that he has to cut others off.

I know the round-table format is relatively free-form, and people will naturally interrupt and talk over each other as in any normal conversation amongst a large group. However, Kevin does this far more than anyone else, to the point of being off-putting. I'm sure that Kevin is a lovely man in person, but I am sorry to say that when I hear that he is part of the panel for a given segment, my interest level drops a bit.

On the positive side, I really like the "7 in 7" series. The idea of a deep-dive into a specific facet of WDW is very entertaining, and I would like to see you guys do more of that, expanding into attractions, shows, etc. They are a refreshing change of pace from the more subjective topics like "How Disney Changed My Life" or "My Perfect Disney Day".

I also like the variety of personalities on the podcast, and enjoy the current lineup for the most part. There are some folks I "click" with and some I do not, but even the latter folks have a clear love of WDW and share observations and perspectives that are good food for thought.

I love how the show has progressed over the years.

The interactions and chemistry between everyone is great; however, as a few others have said, I do miss the natural flow of conversation and the tangents Pete and Kevin would go on, they made the show feel less forced and more natural. Obviously the show is Disney based but occasionally breaking it up gives the viewers -generally- a bit of comedy as well.

Apart from that, I do miss the dining reviews.

I'd also like to see reviews of different room categories as opposed to the hotels themselves, although I can see how that would be cost prohibitive and thus not feasible.

I've been trying to think of a time when Kevin "cut others off" to "voice his opinion." I can't. Certainly not "far more than anyone else" at the round table.

I've always noticed that if Kevin did interrupt someone he stops as soon as he realizes, apologizes, and asks them to continue. I love when Kevin and John are on the podcast and I'm sad when they aren't. It just goes to show that everyone has their own podcast personalities that they enjoy.

And speaking of Kevin, loving the food reviews lately. Please keep them up! Maybe hitting up more signatures. I always try to find them in old podcasts, and enjoy listening to all them...even if the restaurant is no longer there. Keep up the great work guys!

Yes, he often apologizes, but I find that often he will apologize but keep on talking until he finishes his thought.

I don't think I am imagining it, and again, I find that I usually agree with what he's saying. It's not like I am striving to find something about Kevin to complain about. Just my observation, since Dustin asked.

It is not only Kevin that cut people off or interrupts, they all have done it. With that said, when Kevin does interrupt, he usually has a very valid point about the subject at hand, when he is done, he apologizes and conversation carries on. I for one can not point fingers, I don't mean to interject my thoughts but in a round table discussion a person needs to get their point in when they can. I truly love his "this is what I think" attitude. He is usually on point with his comments, and heck, who is going to argue with how he views something, it is his opinion after all. We each have a right to that!

Kevin, keep doing what you are doing. I'd rather have full information with someone that has been there done that, then a spectator view of a situation. :thanks:

Yes, again, as I said before, everyone does it. It's hard not to in a large round-table setting. I get it.

I'm not sure why you are adding in stuff like "everyone has a right to their opinion", since I never said that Kevin should not express himself; I just take issue with how he does it. Again, I have no problem with the points he makes or the opinions he expresses. As I also said, I usually agree with him. So it's not like I "have it in" for Kevin because I don't like what he says.

My experience (*my* experience - not trying to assert it as gospel) has been that over the last few years, he (more than the others) tends to interject more and more frequently and more and more forcefully. Yes, he apologizes, but he still keeps doing it. That turns me off.
