DIS Unplugged Anonymous - Friends of Pete W.

Hi! My name is Katherine.
I am an addict as well. :thumbsup2
DH(3guysandagal) was first.
Then shortly before Bob passed away I started listening as I loved Kevin's dining reviews. The show where it was announed that Bob had passed away I sat here and cried like a baby in DH arms. :sad1::sad1:
I at that point went through and listened to every show.
I realized that when we were on our trip the previous Dec. (2007) that we had seen Bob and his cart cam in the park. Darn I just missed meeting a totally awesome person. I then in October of 2008 I got on the boards.
We only have one computer at home so it is a cronic fight for dis board time.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I have learned so much since it crazy...
We had 2 trips to WDW before we discovered the dis, and we have had 2 since. What an improvement..:thumbsup2
We now have the planning to do for 3 more trips.
Thanks to the podcast team :yay::woohoo::yay::yay::dance3:
The people here are fantasic and we now have alot of new friends...
Life was so boring before the DIS!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Hi I'm Sharon and I'm addicted to the podcast! It is not the first podcast that I have ever listened to, I really am a general podcast addict. I was on Ravelry (a knitting website), and I was reading posts from people who were listing non-knitting podcasts that they liked, and I came across the Dis. Right around that time I had surgery, and I listened to them while I recovered, and became addicted. I started listening right around the time of Bob's death, and he really is missed. He was hilarious, and seemed like a super person.

Hi my name is Becky and I'm addicted to the Podcast :thumbsup2

I started listening in Jan 2008 and loved the format so much, I've never really listened to any others (Disney or otherwise). I don't think I could find a better podcast so why waste time trying? ;)

I can't believe I didn't listen sooner :scared1: or join the Dis earlier - I wish I had known about it for our first trip in 2005 :headache: At least I'm here now and part of this wonderful community :grouphug:

My favourite thing was TSM last Dec - I am so lucky to have met these guys and found so many friends and to have been in WDW at that time :cheer2::cheer2:
Second would be the cruise :woohoo::woohoo: and I can't wait for the next favourite :dance3:

Hi, I am Kevin and I am a Disunplugged addict.

My family has been going to Disney forever, but I ended up finding/joining the site back in 05 when I was looking for some restaurant information for an upcoming trip at the time. I did not listen to the unplugged podcast when it first hit, but shortly after I did listen a couple times on my computer, however I had crappy speakers and so only listened a few times, Bawb had me laughing from minute one. But as I said I only listened a few times back then, it wasn't until early this year that I got addicted. I am have been making way through all the back podcasts and am nearly infinished with them all. My ipod has definitely got more use in the last month or two then the entire last year :rotfl:

I am now a diehard disunplugged fan and eagerly wait like everyone else for each new episode to hit the web. I am hoping to make it on the PCC 2.0 I have even tried the chat, but that room moves so fast I couldnt tell what the heck was going on :lmao:

Hi my name is Nick and I am additced to the podcast.:thumbsup2

I have been visiting the Dis for a couple of years for trip info and finally decided to sign on.

I don't post a ton but check in everyday for updates and news.

Love the format of the show and the personalities, I also started really listening after Bob's passing and have gone back to listen to all the past shows I am at the time when they added the email show. I wish I could have been on the cruise, it sounded like a lot of fun. I am working on my DW, I ordered the cruise video and watched it last night with the family and the kids are hooked.

Here's hoping for 2010:woohoo:

Hi my name is Anj and I am addicted to the Dis unplugged Podcast.

Four years ago I started with the light stuff, only visiting the Disboards and partaking in the occasional thread. Eventually I found myself hitting the boards every day. I stayed up till all hours, I sneaked on at work, I had the kids start putting themselves to bed.

Finally in April this year I found the Podcast. It's like I'm a free woman, I can leave the house without getting the Dis DT's. With just my Ipod touch I can get a hit of Dis whenever I need. Thank you Podcast Crew, without you I'd be in a dark room hunched over a computer screen with a bad back and carpal tunnel syndrome!!

Hi My name is Tracey and I am Addicted to the Disboards & the Podcast. I found the boards in June 2008 as I was researching my October 08 Trip to the world. I then discovered the Podcast in early July. I have been an avid listener since. I am sorry I didn't find the Podcast before Bob's Death, but I have come to love him like everyone else on the Boards and have listened to all the archives. I would love to hear more Bob Segments as remembrances through out the year, especially when it comes to things he was overly passionate about as he had a Unique Prospective on Everything Disney.

The podcast lead me to purchase my first Ipod last fall. I listen while I am working, which helps pass the time. Now I plan to go on the Dec 2010 Podcast Cruise to mingle with the other addicts just like me.

I like Bob am a fan of Dole Whips, I had my first one at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, I was hooked too.

Hi, my name is Michele and I am a DIS Unplugged addict and have been a DIS Unplugged fan since the beginning
. I first joined the DIS back in 1999 when a friend recommended it for a trip we were taking together. Up until June 2006, I could only stand to visit the DIS if I had a trip booked otherwise it made me sad.

But while planning our Sept 2006 trip I got really hooked on the DIS, thanks to the Photography board, and started listening to a bunch of Disney related podcasts at the same time the first version of the DIS Unplugged started. I loved the new format starting in July 2006 and cancelled the subscriptions I had for all those other podcasts.

Now I DIS every day, even without a trip planned, and listen to the DIS Unplugged as much as possible.

Hey very cool!:thumbsup2
I had my first dole whip at the Dole plantation in Hawaii as well. :thumbsup2
I live in Canada and was never a big fan of pineapple till we went to Hawaii.
Of course the pineapples we get here don't even resemble real pineapples according to me. :)

My name is Tanya..and I am addicted too. I started listening January of this year and cannot remember life before then :scratchin

The first time I laughed out loud in the car I knew I was in big trouble..now I am talking about 'the team' like I know them and keep telling my husband stories I heard on the podcast. My new goal is to get my hinny on the 2.0 podcast cruise :cool1:

I actually like that idea better. lol. Sorry to steal your idea.
:flower3: I love the play on words.
I'm the one that drug my wife there for our honeymoon.
I don't know; I met your wife. She didn't look drugged to me.

Okay, I'll play. My name is Stacy and I'm a Dis Unplugged Addict. I started listening to the show back when it was the people Pete hired. Even though they tanked (no offense), I kept listening because of Kevin's multi-part segment on the Backstage Tour. It wasn't long after that when the Roundtable took over. I can't remember when I became OCD, but I know I started posting to this board as soon as it began. My life will never be the same (in a good way, of course :daisy:)

Hi my name is James (like to be called Jimmy- this is for Pete) , yes the James that Pete loves to taunt on Facebook. My lovely wife turned me on to the disunplugged. Been hooked to it for the past couple of years.

Hello my name is Matt. I've been a DIS board member since March of 2005 when I was planning our first WDW trip.

I owe the overwhelming success of that first trip to the DIS and ALL of it's wonderful members/contributors.

I have finally found a home that is full of like minded Disney FANatics!

The DIS Unplugged show is the podcast highlight of my week.

Long Live King Pete and his loyal knights of the round table.:lmao:

Hi I am Kim (the original) I have been listening for a long time...2006 it was my youngest sons first year in school and I was so sad and lonely.

I was helping my mom out at her work in a old building and they have an old bank vault inside and I was cleaning it out (it is used as a closet)...I listening while cleaning and kept thinking I love these guys. I was mesmerized by Pete's voice, it is great. When I listened to all of the ones I downloaded for the day I cried...I was so pathetic. :confused3 My mom came to check on me and found me crying in the vault. :lmao:

I went to both of the first Dis meets at the Swan and teared up when I left each time. I was so nervous and giddy with excitement you would of thought I was meeting rock stars! I couldn't wait to meet Kevin, I walked up to him and said "Hi, I am Mommyceratops and I could be your best friend!"

I bawled when Bob died for weeks and think of him often. My 2DS still talk about him!

So I am Kim R a dear friend of Pete W. I think he is the greatest, one addiction I wont give up!

Hi my name is Liz. I started listening about a month before the infamous Rex stalking Pete for the cruise prize. After that I was a gonner. Addicted ever since then. I love it here:lovestruc

I'm actually listening to that show right now. I still can't believe Rex did that. :rotfl:

Hi my name is Tammy and I am a podcast addict! I found the DIS through google in January 2008 while planning a spring 2008 vacation to WDW. While navagating the site for information I stumbled across the podcast link and clicked listen now.......well I started listening to that first podcast and became instanty addicted:cloud9:. I started posting on the boards later in 2008.

Hi, my name is Nikki and I've been on the DIS since 2005. I found the site after leaving another forum which I found to be very mean and one-sided. I have dozens of favorite memories, but one of my favorites was the feeling of trying to find Bob in the parks. I knew I wanted to find this crazy cart and awesome man, but unfortunately never found him before his passing. Since then, I feel that the DIS has become an even warmer place especially this section of the boards.

Hi, my name is Pam and I am a DIS Addict too. I started visiting the Dis in 2005 after reading about it on the Passporter website. I was looking for more information about DVC.

I became hooked on the DVC boards and read about the Podcast. I became hooked on the Podcast about two years ago when DH gave me an ipod for my birthday. I also was very surprised how much Bob's passing hit me. I knew then, that I thought of you all as friends.

I visit the Dis every day and love to see the humor come out in everyone's posts. Some of you guys are really funny. I think the Podcast Team is such a nice group of people who really take pride in their work and go above and beyond to provide a wonderful place for people like us to get our daily Disney/DIS fix.

I also hope to make one of the cruises so that I can meet some of you. It would be nice to put a face to all the names.:)

I too love the Podcast and listen to them all the time.

I joined in 2008 in January. I love all the podcasters. I really love Kevin's reviews of the restaurant. I agree with Pete's rants. The Disney company needs to listen to this podcast.

My name is Kbelle. I prefer to remain a mystery.
