We lived in a rural community around 2018 or so and got rid of Netflix at that time. It didn't make sense.I'm always surprised by Netflix's numbers because I feel like I hardly find something to watch there between Stranger Things seasons![]()
I agree, the sub numbers might be pretty inflated across the board. My in-laws get Netflix "free" through their T-Mobile account, I wonder how much money Netflix gets from that.It has never occurred to me to "resubscribe" since then. We now have many services - but I think the subscriber numbers are still very inflated as we aren't paying too many of them...
that's my strategy.... plus Amex gives me Walmart+ which includes Paramount+.... and for 6 months out of the year Paramount+ with Showtime Ad-Free during Walmart+ deals week.My ad-free D+/Hulu is comped by my Amex Platinum. That's not to say I am not paying for it---I am---but I would keep that card anyway, so fine.
Now that is one interesting article. Anyone have thoughts about it?https://variety.com/2025/film/news/disney-marvel-lucasfilm-gen-z-1236494681/

My youngest brother is in this 18-29 y/o demographic. The "video game-obsessed" and "loner" descriptors ring true for him! I think the only movie he saw in theaters this year was the Minecraft one. Not sure how you win over that demoNow that is one interesting article. Anyone have thoughts about it?
Get the rights to a Fortnite movie from the company you have partial ownership in and make a memeable film. Quality need not apply (see Minecraft Movie)My youngest brother is in this 18-29 y/o demographic. The "video game-obsessed" and "loner" descriptors ring true for him! Yeah but when people turn out for bad movies to the tune of $900M+ worldwide, you donāt have to put THAT much effort into it.Or, you know, do that AND make it good. It could be done. Well, maybe....
