I can't compete with all the lovely creations that have been created over the last few pages. I have had the most unbelievable week and I decided today that I deserved something nice. :) It's not exactly dessert and I didn't make it myself ......

Here's a picture of DS's birthday cake that I made yesterday (his birthday is tomorrow but he'll be back at uni by then).

It's a standard chocolate Victoria sanwich.

I'm a disappointed with how pale the sprinkles are - they're the same brand I always buy and they've always been really bright up until now.

And Libby your cake looked scrumptious. Nothing wrong the sprinkles from what I could see :goodvibes

Been a quiet weekend for desserts I see. Are you all being good or just to scared to share :rolleyes1

Lol, you are so funny. When can we expect to see some of your creations? Some of us are still bouncing off the walls from all last weekend's sugar :rotfl:

Well I am now off for 2 weeks so I will have to have a look through my recipe books and cards and see what concoctions I can come up with :goodvibes

Home made ginger bread would be a good start I think :thumbsup2

Been a busy weekend in my house, with both mine and DD6 Birthdays

Here is the Hannah Montana cake i made her....I was hoping she would want a princess cake, but no chance.....she loves HM, my little girl is growing up too fast:scared1:

That Hannah Montana cake is very impressive :worship:
You must be extremely proud of yourself for that one.
And I love the Oreo cupcakes. How do you make the frosting? Is is just a regular one with crushed up Oreos or something a little more complicated?

Thanks guys

the Oreo frosting is very easy, Wizz up some Oreos in a blender ( untill they are like breadcrumbs) then add them to your regular frosting.......they are alwas a big hit, kids love the mini oreos that I add as decoration.

Wow fab cakes all round. I love Oreos!

Didn't get round to baking my cookies on Sunday as I was too tired. Want to try and bake something before the weekend though as my Mum is visiting.

Oh my word, how amazing are these cakes & puds :worship:

I only wish that my cooking skills could compete

The oreo cupcakes look amazing! I am definitely going to have a go at making them soon. :)

I was thinking along similar lines. I can't believe how much sugar I have wanted to consume since this thread started :rotfl:

Sapper that cake is incredible. :thumbsup2 You are very talented. I am curious to know how much time you spent putting it all together.

Well it's the weekend and I am sure lots of us will be either going out or eating in, and possibly indulging in some of the sweet stuff :thumbsup2

Personally I have some ginger bread in the oven right now that DD and I have just made - 30 minutes to go :rolleyes1

How about you guys - any pudding plans??

Thank you:thumbsup2 It took me a couple of days, just to let things dry inbetween stages....probably took about 3hours if I put all the time together
