Dis Old Fogies Clubhouse – Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other. Makes No Difference!

Sorry to hear you're still locked down PIO. I'm getting tired of everyone thinking only their way of thinking is right on every subject. Like you we have a couple in our family that's not trusting the vaccine and to each their own. I'm hoping once was enough for me as I don't want to have COVID again.

I'm beyond talking about it.

The best I can do is to make sure we both know where the wills are located. Bwa ha ha ha ha.
(Hey - there isn't anything else I can do! Might as well prepare for all eventualities.)

So it's spring over here.
The sun is shining and there is a gentle breeze wafting through the leaves that I can see brushing against my windows.

I think I might have to go outside and see if I can grab some macro shots of some of the blossoms outside. I think I have a nectarine tree in the front yard. It's either nectarine or peach. We inherited the small tree from friends that moved to Kangaroo Island so I'm really not sure.
Anyhoo......there are pink blossom flowers on it. I might see if I can get some photo practise in. Afterall, there really isn't anywhere else I can go other than the yard or the local park.

I'm about 3 images short of putting my annual photo calendar together this year. I could make it from the landscape shots that I took whilst on vacay to Mungo National Park but if I can get 2 or 3 pretty flowers/leaves in, I can get that sorted and have a head start on Christmas gifts this year. :)

Spring officially starts on 1 September. I know your spring would start around the 20th of March. Over here, we go by the 1st day of the month.

I haven't been to Yuma. I've been to Phoenix, driven Sedona, Grand Canyon, Route 66, Grand Circle-4 Corners drive, Page. It's a pretty state.

A lot of chatter today! I hope the cancer for @chickapin parterre is gone!

To the rest of you let's keep going on. See my TR for what's been up.

Its too painful for me. I need a Disney fix. And this year would have been the year I would have headed back for WDW 50th anniversary.

I can only dream of travelling more than 5 km from home. :rotfl2:

Hey peeps.

Still in lockdown. And yes. There are a number of people out there that don't believe in the science. I live with one of them and so I know there is no arguing with them. Besides, everyone is entitled to their opinion. There is so much known and unknown out there that its hard to separate fact from fiction.

People in Victoria/Melbourne seem to be much more compliant. But after 6 of these lockdowns, it starting to weigh down on everyone.
At least.....the vaccine availability is increasing. So, we are now in the race to get to 70 - 80% vaccinated. Who knows what will happen then?
I've always said it's a case of when we catch covid, not if.

But otherwise, life continues the best we can.
...hey gurl-fren... prayers to you and your country...

We're still hanging in there. My old fogie memory is fading fast. Our DD is doing great and is no longer going to need a transplant so she's off the list. Woo hoo! I'm not looking forward to when she'll head back to Oregon to live it's been so nice having her around here.

I was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, which is a very low platelet count....mine is due to my antibodies attacking my platelets. I have to go through a series of IV immunotherapy for the next 4 weeks. I'm also on a very high dose of steriods.

OMG, that's great news!

Sorry to hear that Kimmar, I hope the next 4 weeks go smoothly and you start feeling better.🙏🤗

Our DD platelets are still really low, but are improving slowly.
