I can understand about the crowds since I didn't enjoy them during Christmas break which were the heaviest I have ever been too. I would do the same thing and just catch Disneyland Forever fireworks and Paint the Night parade. The fireworks wait time won't be that bad like past years since I read that anywhere in the park is a good spot to watch since there will be projections on the buildings, rides, etc. The parade will be the one that will require the wait time.

I agree. We're way too old to pull an all nighter.

I'm starting to think we're nuts going to the opening of the DL 60th celebration now that it's the 24 hour event.

Unless you are onsite or walking distance you're crazy to be there during the 24 hour event. Read he last part of Flossbolina's PC TR, they did a week at DL after the PC and their last day was the 24 event. Yoiu are welcome to come have dinner with us that day. If y'all eat steak we can grill the 4 steaks we had planned for he trip in April before it became three.

Thanks for the offer Alison. We have reservations at BWPPI, but we'll be coming back to Anaheim from Carlsbad and we'll have another couple with us. We may just stay in Carlsbad. I'll take a look at the trip report and we might rethink our plan. I'll talk it over with DH cousins and see what they think.
