The pub in Meadowhall is Evie friendly, don't worry. If push comes to shove we can just drag tables together in the food court I suppose. Pub might be a good idea, last time we were there it was empty and it seemed big enough to accomodate us. I get the feeling most of the restaurants will refuse the booking and not be able to seat a group this size.

Pub or Food Court is fine by me. I would suggest that if we meet in the food court that we meet a little earlier as it will get very busy around lunchtime

I'm bringing a special WDW food treat for everyone anyway and there'll be plenty to go around if we're still peckish

Now that Meadowhall is not smoking, one of the only indoor places you can smoke is the pub, hence it tends to be very smokey in there. We never go in there as the smell puts us off. But I'd still like to meet everyone so I'll be outside the disney shop at 12.30 regardless.

Also, the pub does have lots of tables but as the space is divided into areas and L shaped and narrow in the first places, not sure they will be able to seat 17.

Have we considered TGI Fridays? It's not in meadowhall itself but is very close by. It's huge and they do take big bookings. It's about a 1 minutes drive from Meadowhall, near to the southbound junction 34, but you can't really walk there as there are very busy roads and no pavement.

That's a thought and there is actually a walkway / crossing from TGI Fridays to Meadowhall if I remember rightly so it would be possible to park by Debs and walk over.
And it's no smoking, except for the small bar area, which is away from the dining area

I am really sorry everyone but I need to pull out.

As most of you know Sam has a problem/injury with his hand. On Tuesday we were with the consultants...prior we thought he had one major skin graph left but its been decided it needs to be 2 graphs over 3 months.

Got a letter today confirming the first will be Monday 13th March and he will be in hospital for a few days.

Quite shocked its so soon. Probably sounds pathetic but really need a 'family' weekend before we go to hospital on Monday as we have learnt not to tell him until just before he goes in as he gets so upset (he knows he will be in pain!!)......so its normally the day or so before..I dont want to leave him the day before.

As our numbers seem to be getting a bit smaller, do you think that Nando's will be able to cater for us now ???

The way the manager was talking, they can only take 5 at a time!!!

Hopefully with the group being smaller it will be easier to get a table somewhere on the day. TGI's is also an option now (possibly a good one with the BOGOF offer they have on) and they have some very big tables in the Leeds one at least.
