Dis Mom's Club?

arrgghh so now bug has blisters on his hands so I thought Hand foot mouth, but just a few hours ago he has developed a rash(not blisters) on his legs on arms. We are heading back to the doctors.

Could it be both Fifths and Hand Foot and Mouth?

UGH! So sorry. Stinks too because there is nothing you can do but wait it out if it is Coxsackie Syndrome. Hope it passes quickly. Any blisters in his mouth?

Thanks to all the moms for the DVC info. I do have more questions but have been busy.

DH worked all last week and took overtime on the weekend and is working all this week. So I've had no break and I'm exhausted. Pregnant with a two year old and no nap time is not helping me.

Had a last minute appointment to see the doctor today to find out if I have an infection and I do. But the baby finally let the doctor find his/her heartbeat. :) The last time I was there they just did an ultrasound instead. My DD always moved away when they tried to find her heartbeat. So it looks like this little one will be the same way. Have my normal check up next week and then can schedule my ultrasound appointment to see what we are having. Should know the first or second week of May!!

They weather is finally nice here again, so we are cooking out tonight.

Roobug - I hope he feels better soon!!

Well in a way I was hoping it was just Hand foot and mouth because at least with that I know it will pass and there is really nothing you can do for it. Just got back from the Dr's and they are not sure what he has, but right now he is at least comfortable with tylenol and motrin so we will wait and see. Poor little guy.

Monkey is feeling a little better thankfully all he wants to do is sleep so at least I only have one to deal with at a time :) It's the small things right? And he doesn't have any sores in his mouth so drinking/nursing isn't a problem.

Roobug~ I hope the drs can figure out whats wrong! Unknown rashes can be scary. Poor Bug. On a good note, I'm happy Monkey is feeling better! Gotta love those rare moments when they sleep all day... Too bad its only when they're not feeling well. ;)

Well, we took DH to the airport on Sunday. He's going to be gone until Saturday, so I'm a single parent this week.

Yesterday I was doing the dreaded :laundy: and cleaning the house. DD4 is coming to visit for the next 4 months, so I'm trying to get everything ready for when she gets here... Plus, I have to go buy her all new clothes and shoes. Anything she will need on a regular basis. Her mom will pack very little of anything and most likely it will be dirty (like really not washed), stained and/or too small. :confused3 My mom is flying out here with her and I even had to send my mom a care package for the plane, because DH's ex won't even think of packing her any toys or such. :rolleyes1

Little background/vent- DS11 & DD4 are DH's from a previous marriage. Usually they will live with their mom in Oregon and we'll get them for Summers and and a month over Christmas break. Well, last year DS11 did NOTHING in school... He literally sat in class or hid under his desk and didn't do a thing... One quarter he did 35% of his homework and another he did 45. :headache: He was in trouble 17 times at school. The school finally called us because DH's ex wasn't returning their calls and DS11 was getting in shcool suspension for stealing from the teacher! There was a problem at the kids' daycare and we jumped in and flew the kids out to us till she could get it situated. Anyways, while they were here, we offered to take DS11 (and DD4, but that was a no go) for this school year and to continue paying her the FULL child support for both kids, even though she'd only have one. She jumped on that. Well, I'm happy to say that its been rough but DS11 is getting good grades, no missing homework and even has been on honor roll the past 2 quarters! :teacher: At the end of July they both will be going back to live with their mom. I just hope we don't have to step in again and that she's learned to be a better parent. :rolleyes1

OK sorry vent is over! I just get so flustered when I think of the situation and what is "expected" of us. Thanks for listening...

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! I think I may be on more today then I was yesterday. Starting to get a scratchy throat.

I have been MIA for a few days and just caught up. Roobug, hope those babies of yours are all better soon. There have been a lot of rashes going around the preschool I work at. Fifths and scarlet fever mostly. Hope they are better soon for all of your sakes!

So we have had a busy few days. Saturday Pluto, Ariel and I spent the day out shopping for new shirts for me for our trip to granmas next week. (I have almost no clothes and since I have started working they all seem to have paint on them.) And we had to find Grumpy some birthday gifts. We were gone all day. That evening Pluto was playing basketball with her friend and hurt her finger. It hurt but didn't seem too bad.

Sunday was Grumpy's birthday, so it was a busy day.

On top of 2 busy days, Pluto's teacher assigned 3 HUGE projects to do over the weekend, 2 due Monday and one due today. (In her defense, one was assigned Tuesday but I told her we'd work on it over the weekend since our weekdays are so busy. I didn't realize 2 more were coming!) She worked for 8 hours on Sunday. Not fun.

By Sunday night she was still complaining about her finger. She took a shower (she was covered in marker from all the work on the projects) and after she was clean I realized all the purple and blue was not only marker (though a lot was.) It was bruising. So Monday morning we started our day at the pedetricians, then x-ray and back to the pedetrician to fin out it wasn't broken but the way she hurt it the blood isn't flowing well to it. So, it is taped and she has to keep heat on it. I got her back to school and me to work (I had to sub) with about 5 minutes to spare. I cam home and we had to finish projexts till last night when we went to the Girl Scout Leader/Daughter dinner. (We skipped dance and softball to go, can't be at 3 places at once.) Then we came home and finally finished the project due today at 10:30! She's 10!!! Poor kid was really drragging this morning when she had to get up early for band, and extra early since it was my day to drive.

I am soooo relieved that those 3 projects are DONE!!! I am going to love the break next week as much as they are.

So Grumpy had a good birthday. We went and bought a new grill, though we haven't used it yet. His best friend was supposed to come over with his kids for a cookout, but his wife left him about a year ago and so he's still adjusting to doing everything on his own, so he decided he had to stay home and do laundry and stuff. So, Grumpy and I decided to go out to lunch alone . We tried a new restauraunt, Longhorn Steakhouse. It was OK, don't think we'll go back. I LOVE Outback and it didn't compare. So then we had to come home and I helped with the homework while he played with his new "toys" and before we knew it, we hadn't fed the kids dinner or antying, so he went and got pizza and we had that and cheesecake. Oh yeah, I also ran to Bed, Bath and Beyone after reading on DIS about the Mini Keurig for $40. I hate coffee but I got Grumpy a Keurig for Christmas and he is in love with it. He took it when we went to my grandparents and ittook up a LOT of room in the van. So I decided for $40 I'd get him one for travel. He was very excited. It was an extra little b-day gift. He can't wait to take it to Disney this time. He says the coffee isn't good there.

Alright, I am going to run. Try and get a little housework done before I have to get to work, then dance tonight. Hope everyone has a good day!!!

So DH plays this online game, Warhammer, published by Electronic Arts / Mythic Entertainment. It costs a monthly subscription fee of $14.99, which is drafted automatically from our checking account via our debit/credit card. I don't mind this, as I'm a gamer myself but haven't felt like playing lately.

Well, last Friday, we found out along with a couple of hundred thousand other folks that Mythic's billing system vendor overcharged our account for this subscription fee - instead of charging $14.99 (which shouldn't have been charged anyway, as our subscription for the month hadn't yet run out) for our monthly fee, they charged us SIXTEEN times at $14.99 each. To make things worse, 14 of these 16 charges came in the day before my next paycheck, so you guessed it - I had 14 $32.00 "paid item fees" charges assessed, as well.

To make a long story short, Mythic's little error sucked some $700 out of my bank account over the course of two days. This past weekend was my stepson's 16th birthday. Luckily, we already has the majority of his gifts, but I still had to pay for the pizza, snacks, a movie he wanted for he and his friends, etc. I had to call my power company and tell them that their payment would be delayed. If this isn't all resolved by tomorrow, I'll have to call my mortgage lender and my car loan folks and tell them their payments will be late. My bank hasn't yet said whether they'll actually reverse the fees. Mythic hasn't said whether they'll reimburse players for the fees.

Everyone is screaming at EA and Mythic, but both companies are stonewalling and posting vague reassurances that they're taking the matter "very seriously". The lawyers are already circling; people are taking massive financial hits over this goof. Credit ratings are being affected due to missed or bounced payments. I was a mess on Friday, swinging between fury and being scared I'd find myself unable to pay the mortgage and car loan. UGH, it's a huge hairy mess.

Lesson learned: buy pre-paid game time cards and never, ever use a debit card for monthly online subscriptions. Too bad it was such a painful lesson to learn. :(

:grouphug: I'm so sorry! Can't you file unathorized charges with your bank? I would think the bank would reverse the overdraft charges and the 16 $14.99 within a few days, since you did NOT athorize these charges. :confused3 I hope it all works out for you TODAY.

Uggg, that stinks. In December 2008 right after we got back from Disney my DH was paying bills online and insted of hitting pay later (payday) he accidently hit pay now. He didn't realize till we had $700 in bounced fees (I had been Christmas shopping.) We had $40 fees on a $1.08 drink at Target! It was his mistake but it was an honest mistake. He went to the bank in tears, literaly tears and begged them to reduce the fees. He said he knew he'd made a mistake but more then $100 in fees was crazy. They woouldn't budge. We have our savings account there and all 3 kids accounts, DH's buisness account and I ahve 2 Girl Scout accounts (granted, not our money but I am in charge of it.) Nothing. We lost $700 in fees because of the mistake. They won't go into your savings or other accounts to cover other accounts. It still makes me sick a year and a half later. I soooo wanted to change banks but it is such a headache to do it, but everytime I think about it I want to again.

Banking mistakes are so easy to make and soooo expensive when they happen.

I still don't get why other people think it is okay to tell you how to parent your own kids. You do your thing ~ I'll do my thing you do yours. If we all parented the same ~ the world would be perfect right?!?

Crazy what people around here find to argue about.

Apparently some people think that their fatal allergy to peanuts is a bigger deal than my DD's fatal allergy to berries? I mean ~ what is up with that? IMHO they are BOTH a pretty big deal. It's crazy. DH always says he doesn't want me reading Dis anymore because it gets me so riled up!
My DS has peanut and egg allergies, and because they are such common allergies, labels are usually marked really well and there is much more awareness. It would be so much harder to have kiddos with uncommon allergies, like berries! I would think that parents who have kids with allergies would be much more supportive, but I guess the world does not always work that way
You think the peanut allergy thread is bad....... go over to the community boards and read the one about Jon & Kate. ;)
I am an avid Dancing with the Stars fan and over the weekend got sucked into a debate about the two of them, yikes!!!
and if any more Duggar threads pop up.....stay very, very far away...
LOL! I have one napping and one watching SpongeBob (yuck! I never let her watch it so she is intrigued) I have laundry in washer, meat for dinner thawing, filing out my FAFSA so I can take some classes in the fall, resting my back (I think I have a pinched nerve) and waiting for my DH to come home so I can go to the doctors to have it looked at.

All while keeping tabs on my email and Disboards!!

Pretty amazing huh?? LOL!
I am impressed!

Tomorrow on the travel channel......
http://www.travelchannel.com/Schedule#&startTime=1271289600000
they are all re-runs....and I have seen them countless times, but always still fun! I can get my disney fix, since it will be a while before we get to go back!!!

I am going to set my dvr up now so I don't miss them! I love the Disney shows on the travel channel. Thanks!!:)

Today it is rainy here and all I want to do is sleep. My daughter won't let me. She is doing a good job of making the family room look like it was hit by a tornado. Sometimes I wonder how one little kid can make such a big mess.

As for me I am working on house work. It is never ending :laundy:

ooo, thank you so much! Going to post on Facebook and the blogs for clients :) I wonder if I can rearrange my hotel photo shoot/editing schedule tomorrow so I can watch too? Hmm...

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Sorry about the sick little one Roobug...hope he's feeling a little better.

Soooo sorry to hear about the account mess up LadySiren! Been there before and it's no fun. My incident was with Paypal for a $800 arcade game system my hubby bought of EBay. 1st the buyer took a month to ship it after many many phone calls. But to top that and make it worse paypal took the $800 out my account 3 times! I had to wait a week before the bank would put it back. Said it was holds that Paypal might release so I had to wait. But in the mean time I couldn't pay bills. So not cool. So I truely understand your vent. Hope that situtation has worked out for you or does sooner rather than later.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I just saw this on the budget boards and thought I'd pass it along. http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx It looks like Disney has started to offer the $99 deal if you pre-purchase your photopass CD! Also, if you were one of the lucky ones that got the $50 off offer in an email, it let someone use it with the $99 deal, making it only $49.99!

Wow -- if I could get that for $49.99 I'd be all over it!!

Wonder how you get the email...

We'll probably still do it at $99, but I'd sure like to save even more! Thanks for posting.

From what I understand was that when they stopped doing the pre-purchase cd for $99, they started sending out emails that included the extra savings. It was one of those random Disney emails... Not everyone got one. I'm not sure if they will continue to send out the emails now that they are offering the $99 deal again.

So, I'm watching the Travel Channel's Disney specials! :cloud9: I can't wait to go!

AARRRGGGHHHH!! The hotel I'm photographing replaced The Travel Channel with Nick Jr. Great, I get to watch "The Wonder Pets" instead of the Disney specials and I'm here ALONE! So not fair...

Update on the whole overbilling / bank fee thing that happened because of our online game subscription: we're still awaiting a refund of all of our bank fees but we did finally get a refund from the game company. Our mortgage payment will likely bounce tomorrow if our bank can't get this mess sorted out, our mortgage lender could care less that none of this is our fault (they rightly just want their payment) so we'll probably have late fees, and the credit score is probably still going to take a hit. On a scale of 1 to 10, my stress level is at least a 12. I really, REALLY need my WDW vacation. Now. :headache:

I'm am SOOOO sorry that kind of stuff makes me want to vomit(where is the smilie for that?!). I hope it's worked out soon!

Ok this morning my dh was going to get a cyst behind his knee drained so he was out the door early and I was going to meet him at the hospital after dropping off the kids. My 10 year old is getting ready and I looked at him a flash of red caught my eye. I asked him to open his eyes a bit more and there was blood in his eye all along the top. I was freaked out :scared1: but trying to keep it together.

I drop of my youngest at school and we just drive to children's, they do a test to make sure his cornea isn't scratched and that it's not major. It turns out that was all fine and my son was at school by 10. We think it happened after his shower this morning. he has some sensory issues and really HATES water in his face, so apparently after jumping out of the shower he can't get the water to quit dripping onto his face so he gets his towel and is rubbing his eye with it to sop up the water, right thing to do but WAY too much pressure applied! What the heck of the world?! :rotfl:

My dh is fine cyst drained and I had to run and pick the kids up early to take my youngest for a follow up ultrasound on his kidney (he had UPJ obstruction and surgery to correct). It's been a LONG day! On a happy note we got our give a day vouchers this morning!!! Whoohoo!

Sorry for the ramble, hope everyone is good!
