DIS Men: Do you carry a daily bag?

No. Work days, I have my computer backpack. Otherwise, I just have a small RFID wallet that holds what I need aside from keys and my cell phone, which can all go in my pocket.

Amusement parks, I often will wear cargo shorts. Which my boys would often make fun of, right up to the point when they’d ask me to hold their phones when we go on a coaster 😛

Great question Lord M.
I am a minimalist when it comes to what I carry on a daily basis so no need for a bag. The Ridge wallet for credit cards, ID. Key fob with only 3 keys, phone, pocket knife clipped to the inside of one pocket, sunglasses perched atop my hat.

I like to have dedicated carry bags to haul gear for whatever activity I am doing from golfing to fishing so I have entertained the idea but its just not my style

You will see more ppl carrying a cross shoulder bag in downtown Seattle but hardly ever in the outlying areas. It is kind of surprising to see a dude with a carry bag just like when I see someone using an umbrella in the PNW

My husband currently uses a slim backpack... it is a Loungefly canvas style (like the classic Jansport ones) in a chibi Lion King all over print that I got one year at Jambo. He works K-12 education and the kids love it. In the past he has used other backpacks or messenger type bags.

Do you carry a daily bag?

Just the ones under my eyes :earboy2:
Me to and they are getting so big I have to check them when I go to the airport. I never felt that I had that many things I had to take with me on a daily basis to warrant one. That's what they make pockets for. Even when I smoked I still had plenty of excess space for whatever I wanted. The only one thing that I find a pain now is my cell phone. Back when cargo pants were in fashion they always had a phone pouch on the leg. That was great, however, it is fortunate to be old and I don't give half a damn about what people think I look like so I still buy, shorts at least, with the electronics pocket.

When I went to Europe on Vacation a few years ago the only extra thing I had with me when I was wandering about was a money belt where I kept cash, credit cards and passport.

Way back in the dark ages when one needed to bring a stack of Traveler's Checks I split whatever I had on me that day in four. 1/4 in my right front pocket, another in my left front, another in my right rear pocket and of course another in my left rear pocket. My logic was that one would have to be a very, very good pickpocket to get all four at the same time and if they did, what the hell, they earned it.

For work my husband carries a backpack as his go-bag in case he has to make an emergency landing and is stuck away from home or airport for a length of time.

Fanny packs are gangster now?
We call them “eshays” here in Australia - not gangsters, but wanna-be’s.

“The word "eshay" apparently derives from the Pig Latin for "sesh" (meaning drug or cannabis use session). The term "adlay" (/ˈædleɪ/), Pig Latin for "lad," refers to the same subculture. Eshays, or lads, are often considered stereotypically hypermasculine and inclined to crime and violence.” from Wikipedia.

I've been carrying a shoulder bag for over 25 years after I saw men in Europe carry them and thought that it made a lot of sense. So I jumped in and never looked back. I've had several bags over the years but I've always carried SOMETHING. So DIS men (especially those in the USA), do you carry a daily bag? I'm not talking about a bag you use at the parks, but more of a daily "purse" type bag. If yes, what do you carry in it? For me, I carry my wallet, sunglasses, extra credit cards, keys, pocket knife, business card holder, cigarettes, zippo.

And also, if you don't carry one, why not? Would you? What does your partner think of it? My partner loves it as she usually carries a small IM clutch and gives me things to carry around.

I would. But they don't make pink shoes in my size to go with it.

Daily, no. I have a backpack for work and travel, but daily it's a wallet, phone on my belt and my car key fob.

I wish more men would. My now adult son would apparently rather die than carry his epi-pen. Too many things for pockets when the phone and the wallet take priority.
OMG! That’s frightening. Has he had to use it? Rush to get it? Are his problem allergens fairly easy to avoid?

My 18 year old nephew had a frightening experience in late elementary or middle school. The epi-pen was in his backpack in class, and he had some cross contamination or something at lunch and had to go running back to class. I think it was frightening enough that he keeps the pen on him at all times. He’s really good at avoiding allergens but the potential for cross contamination is always there.

Fanny packs are gangster now? Wow. My daddy wore one with a western shirt, jeans and bolo tie. He must have been so scary! :rotfl2:
I noticed the thugs wear tracksuits in Scotland with a weird amount of fake Burberry. I didn’t know they were meant to be scary. One of them took an argument with the owner of my father in law’s local pub outside while we were having a meal. The owner came back inside covered in blood. I am a nurse so I jumped up to help. He said nah, its not my blood. Not so scary after all. If I saw that plus a Fanny pack Is be giggling not quaking.
This reminds me of when my ex and I drove from Orlando to the Ocala National Forest after work to meet my parents for a camping weekend. Work at the time was Terror on Church Street, a permanent haunted house. So it was late at night and we got lost. Stopped at a gas station for directions (GPS is freaking useless at the outskirts of the forest). Saw a cop in the parking lot, so decided to ask him. He was nice enough, but eyeing us very strangely. Looked down and realized in our hurry, we hadn't removed the stage blood and latex gashes! We quickly explained what was going on, and he said, "Well, I wasn't going to say anything if you didn't. But honestly when you first approached me, I thought you were going to say you had just been in a wreck." Oops!

On topic, my dad will not carry a bag of any kind, and insists on stuffing everything but the kitchen sink into his pockets. No clue how he fits it all in there. Most of my male friends carry some kind of bag unless they're literally just running to the store and only taking wallet and keys.

interesting responses. I carry the travel
Organiser shown below as a regular wallet so just throwing my wallet in my pocket isn’t an option unless my pocket is huge. IMG_3074.jpeg

I have almost the same one I use as a wallet. It’s even hard for me to find pocketbooks that that thing fits in, lol. I switch it out from my pocketbook to my work back on work days. Sometimes I carry just that into stores and put my phone in the front part. Where did you buy yours?

I got mine directly from Coach. I sometimes carry mine by the little strap if I’m just running into a store. Yes this makes it look like a clutch, but I don’t care.
