DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Jennifer
Wendy No!! You're NOT allowed to "rethink" your future DCL plans, cause we are on the same ship with you for 2 weeks!! pirate:

Although, I was looking at NCL myself.. and to see that their 3 night Bahama cruise was $1,278 CHEAPER then DCL  Made me really second guess our trips too :guilty:

Hi Stacy,
I'm still holding our reservations on Sept 12 and 19th, but I must admit those cruises are in jeopardy. :guilty: We booked a 12 nt Grand Mediterranean cruise on the new Ruby Princess for July 2009, and if we do that we'll have to delay the B2B - maybe transfer it to a 2010 itin. Since I'm leaving Europe in 2009 now, instead of 2010, and with the rising airfare costs, we need to get all of our Europe trips in within the next year! But since I don't know exactly when I'm leaving, we may not be able to do the July trip....so everything's kind of up in the air.

I think it's definitely worth it to try the other lines when you want to go to new destinations. I had to downgrade most of my cabins after I booked all these trips. But NCL and RCCL offer some great "one day sale" prices. In December we're sailing on the Norwegian Jade for 9 nights to Morrocco and the Canary Islands in a Penthouse Suite with a concierge and butler for less than $3,000 total!

We sail on Navigator of the Seas in 11 days to the Eastern Med, then 3 days after we get back we cruise to the Western Med on Independence of the Seas!

OMG!! Single Digit DANCE  . We leave in 9 days!! We fly out on the 14th, visit DS23 on the 15th, visit DL on the 16th, and board The Magic on the 17th!!!!!!!

I'd offer to come down and see you guys off, but I'll be in Australia. :dance3: I leave tomorrow night!

Congrats on the promotion, Robby!! Does this mean no more dealing with people? :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

OK, Meryl, Julie and Stacy--I am SO jealous! I'm going away too, but I'm going to Binghamton, New York. It's not quite as exotic as Australia, it's not as much fun as a Disney Cruise, but at least it's not my office. It's time for the annual Teddy Bear Artists Invitational convention and show, and I'm heading there with my friend Leslie who was the one I went to WDW with in May.

Meryl--Leslie and I might be interested in a cruise in early December, but we won't be able to decide until October. Maybe DCL will have those same great rates we got last year, and then you can book it for us. I'll keep you posted--it all depends on how DDIL is doing with the pregnancy.

Thanks that would have been so great to see you again!! Enjoy Australia, sounds awesome!!

AWESOME!! Congratulations Robby!

How does this affect the plans to move to Orlando?

Wendy

At this point we're not really sure what's going to happen. We're going to see how he likes his position before we make any definite plans. I told Robby that if he really does end up liking his job (and since he's making good money now) that I would be happy staying here as long as we get to go to Disney at least twice a year!!! :thumbsup2 I would just feel bad if he left a good job that he really likes for the "unknown". I don't know though. I REALLY hate big decisions like this!!!!!! One thing I do know is that if we do stay here, we would have a much, much bigger chance of going on the inaugural cruise!!!!

I leave tomorrow and I am soooooo excited... :cool1:

I pick up Andy at the airport at 10am and down to the pier we go. I have our suitcases packed and will be loading the car tonight!!

All non travelers.. watch for us on the Live Web Cam around 4pm, we will wave to you.. I'd hold up a sign that says wish you were here, but I don't think it gets that close.. pirate:

It's our first attempt, but here's a slideshow of our recent adventure. Just click the link below, and then click "full" to see the slideshow. You can also see the rest of the pictures in the same album.

Once Upon a Fairytale

We are now confirmed on the June 14th "Storybook Kingdoms" trip to Czech Republic and Austria next year!

Take care everyone,
Wendy

Great job! :thumbsup2

Jasmine you have really grown a lot! :goodvibes

Guess what everyone!!!!!!!!! Robby got a promotion at work!!!!!!!! He's now an insurance adjuster!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:  :woohoo: We are sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!! Hopefully he'll be able to transfer over from customer service to claims in a couple of weeks. He's already started to decorate his new office (Disney of course).

:woohoo: :thumbsup2

I'm still sad that we had to cancel that cruise with you all. :sad1:

 Where is Angie? I never heard about their PC cruise in May. I assume they had a great time. :cool2:

- Jennifer

Dennis and Angie did go on the Repo Cruise and said that they loved it. T

hey have been very busy the last couple of months selling their house and RETIRING! Their last day at work was last week. They are now busy planning road trips in their RV. :woohoo:

Kewl...keep me updated!! If the rates go down low enough heck I might go with ya!!

I think those cruises get so cheap is because if you rebook on board, and you book a dummy date, the first week of Dec is when they book you!! So, when people move the dates, the ship becomes empty, thereby they need to refill rooms and lower the prices!! We plan on rebooking dummy dates and I am sure we will have Dec 2009 as the dates. Let keep those fingers crossed for cheap rates!!

Does the insurance company he work for have offices in Florida?? If so he can transfer. There are also plenty of insurance companies in Florida, so he maybe albe to get an adjuster job there too. DOn't give up the dream!!

Sorry we booked all our cruises while on DCL Magic with you last December :rotfl: All except for this trip that I booked online..

:wizard:

LOL, no prob!! Enjoy your cruise!! Just as an FYI, you can make all your ressies with DCL and then transfer it to ANY TA to get an extra Onboard credit if they do that. I did that with my 2 cruises. Yes I am a TA, and this cruise and my next one is with other agencies!! Granted, I booked them and transferred before I became a TA!! :lmao:

I'm still sad that we had to cancel that cruise with you all. :sad1:

Me too!! There are plenty of Disers on board...but none that i know yet. Craftymouse, was on our Dec cruise, but she had to cancel a few weeks ago. Her husband broke his leg. :(

Unfortunately his company doesn't operate in Florida. Something about too high risk...I don't know why they would think hurricanes are high risk. :lmao: So we'll just wait until we go on our trip and see what happens!!!

That's okay, Disney will be there for awhile. If you don't do it now before you have kids, etc, you can always do it later on when you're empty nesters.

I'm sure it'll all work out for you!

OK, start encouraging everyone you know to book "dummy dates" for this December. Leslie and I really need a cruise. I found out last night that DS has the entire month of December off (except for the 19th:confused3 ) so I'm free to travel then and won't have to worry about DDIL! And I don't have to give a lot of notice at work. I have so much vacation time that they're trying to FORCE me to use it, because I get 25 more days on January 1!

:thumbsup2 That's exactly what we plan to do. When the kids are all out of the house and on their own, we're heading on the next flight to Orlando. ;) For right now, our WDW trips will have to suffice and there's nothing wrong with that. :cool1:

We are "empty nesters" but can't move to WDW until we can retire (9yrs 6mos 2wks - not that I'm counting). We will be there very shortly after that! :dance3:
