DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Just checking in to let you know that I'm here at WDW. We're having a great time, and will post some details later. I'm too busy having fun!

I do want to let you know, however, that should you ever be planning a WDW trip and need to rent an ECV, I would never recommend using Walker Mobility. I will explain later, but my friend has had nothing but trouble with them and their products and customer service. I will say that no one was injured in the accident with the bus when the scooter transmission slipped into reverse! I have a few great stories like that, but now I must head out to the Magic Kingdom or we'll never get to Epcot in time to eat our fourth and/or fifth meals of the day!

Merryl - Good for you for upgrading to the Cat 5, I'm sure you won't regret it. I can't wait until I get to go through the Panama Canal, I've heard it's amazing. Take lots of pics!

Brack - Once a Pirate always a Pirate! :thumbsup2

Beth - Sounds like you'll have lots of stories to tell us when you get back!

Jas and I decided to update our tickers today too! :goodvibes

Beth:

:goodvibes Glad you are having a great time. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip when you get back.

:woohoo: It is finally swimming weather here in Texas. It has been in the 90's. We swam for the first time in our pool this past Saturday. I'll admit, it was a little chilly. But, you get use to it. I see lots of grilling and swimming the next few months at the Taylor home.

Bill is up in WA right now. He said it is cold and rainy. I had to tell him it was 95 and clear skies here. :cool2:

It's barely 50 degrees here! I am thinking of turning the heater back on. :confused3

I'm sure I won't...I will just regret the credit card bill!! I look at it this way..it was only 200.00 more than the cat 6 we had been trying to get :).
I plan on taking lots and lots of pictures and hopefully video!!

Good morning!

We had planned to make the morning EMH at the Animal Kingdom this morning, but we didn't get back from Epcot until 12:30 last night, and we old ladies just can't do it. We'll head over there as soon as we have breakfast. We've both been there many times before, so if we miss something it won't be tragic! We definitely needed our beauty rest!

The weather has been awesome. We had about five minutes of rain two days ago, there's always a beautiful breeze and it's just perfect. I talked to Jim yesterday afternoon and he said that it was in the low 60's and raining. He's kind of sorry that he used all of his vacation time for our December cruise! My friend and I are thinking of taking advantage of the bounceback offer in our room and coming back in early December, and maybe trying to add a cruise. If we decide to cruise, we'll wait until we see if there are any awesome rates again. I can travel at the last minute and still have plenty of vacation time. Jim won't have any until sometime after July of next year.

It's been a magical vacation so far, even with all of the odd things that have happened. I'll tell more when I get home.

OK, I have to get ready to get some breakfast and head off to our slightly delayed visit to the Animal Kingdom. Tonight we're having dinner at the Cape May Buffet, and tomorrow will be Leslie's birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace!

what a cute dog!

Randy and i leave tomorow for pop century for 2 days. It will be our first stay at a value resort (making up for the four days club level at the boardwalk:rolleyes1 back in february) but i hope to be pleasantly suprised.
My goal is to not go into the parks, but to do the stuff we never get to do. Like mini golf, blizzard beach, pleasure island and maybe rent a boat. Both of us have birthdays in May so we look forward to celebrating.
I really want to plan another cruise, but after how much i managed to put on our room key I think I scarred Randy off cruising for the rest of the year.
Hope everyone is having a great week.
I hope for everyone up north that it warms up soon!

Hello everyone!

As of today we have exactly 1 month to go before our Baltic cruise on Crown Princess! I'm one test away from finishing Air War College, so I'm going to try to get that done before our vacation season officially starts. :cool1:

I had to move our 2009 cruises around, because I decided to leave Belgium in July 2009 - rather than stay an extra year until 2010. After visiting my friends in Korea, I really want to get back to the real Air Force. As I'm sure you can tell by the amount of time we spend traveling, there's not too much going on at NATO....

I won't know where I'm going until next February/March timeframe. I'm not sure what will happen to our B2Bs for Sept '09, as it'll depend upon where I'm stationed. But I'll definitely book a dummy date when we're on the member cruise, so I can book for 2010 as soon as the itineraries come out.

Tomorrow's Friday!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I just got back from 10 nights at Pop Century. I really like it there! We often have vacations where we don't go into the parks, although this wasn't one of those vacations. My friend and I spent every waking moment in parks, and that's not the type of vacation I usually have with Jim! I need a vacation to rest up from this vacation, although I won't get one.

I just found out today that my DDIL's fertility treatments have been successful at last. They've been undergoing all kinds of therapies and treatments for more than two years. Tomorrow morning they hope to find out exactly HOW successful. Without giving TMI, there were four viable eggs....:scared1:! This will probably mean that my plans for another December cruise will have to wait a year, since this will be a high-risk pregnancy (gestational diabetes) with a bed-rest component and I'll have to do "stay-at-home" duty during that time. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers while we make sure that everything is going well. I'll keep you posted!

Beth
