Say...how was your week on the Magic??? Tell us all!!

The Magic was GREAT!! The kids.. 11, 12, 14 were seasick the first night or two.. They have never been on a cruise prior to this.. After that, they were fine.. They even booked 9/12/09 to Tortola with us..

As for the 18 - 21 "college" kids.. well.. DS said they were adults and not his age so he really didn't have as much fun as the younger ones but he got to Finally eat at Palo so he was Happy... And he was served Alcohol in Mexico

I stayed home from work on Thursday and slept all day, then went back to work yesterday, and today I'm not feeling great again. Part of my problem today is allergies, I think, since my DGD had a soccer game this morning so we were out in the grass for 1 1/2 hours. Tomorrow I'm going to be in the Columbus Day Parade, and then I'm going to do nothing until Tuesday. That should get me back to normal!

Hello everyone!
It looks like everyone is doing well.

I spent last week in Germany getting nasal surgery for a deviated septum. I'll be home on convalescent leave for the next week, and then I drive back to Germany for a follow-up appt.

Hopefully I can get some stuff done around the house next week. We were gone so much this past summer that I've got lots of projects to work on around here.

We had a great time at WDW last month, and it was great to see the Taylors on the member cruise.

The 2010 itineraries look interesting, but not for the price. The W/B TA looks reasonable, but I think I'd rather save the leave days. We really want to do China in 2010. I would like to take a long cruise with DCL, but hopefully they'll go back through the canal in 2011.

In the meantime, we're doing a B2B on Independence of the Seas out of Ft Lauderdale in March. We really love RCI, and I think that they are really going to give DCL a run for their money when they move a Freedom class ship to Port Canaveral.

How much was the Cat 3? My Cat 6 was $4685 after the onboard booking discount. I was tempted to try for the suite, but I honestly don't know if we'll take the cruise or not. But I wanted to hold a cabin while the price was right.

Hope you feel better soon. I hope you didn't need that awful packing in your nose. I had sinus surgery and when the doctor removed the packing from my sinuses it was horribly painful. He tells me they don't use the packing anymore. I don't know what they use now.

We paid the full deposit of $1,600 for 2 people
The total cost Including Air and Transfers and Ins was $10, 988.26

If we were to transfer all 4 of our currently booked cruises to you.. How does that work? Would I still be able to do what I want with the reservations or do I have to go through you to make changes? The last I knew when I used a friend of mine, She had to make the changes and book the extras..

Hey there. If you wanted to change rooms or add people that would go through me, dining changes, requests for servers all through me. Your palos and excursions you do yourself, unless you want me to do them. Any payments would go through me also.

Alot of people keep their ressies adn do what they want, and transfer right before final payment. Once final payment has been made then you can't transfer your reservation.

I think the interview went fine. I am hoping he felt I have enough experience for Asst. Mgr. I think I do, but that's just me! He said if they were interested with me then I would have second interview later on this week. I spoke to my manager from Staples and gave him a heads up. He said he would call me if they called him. I figure if they call to check my references that is a good sign. I think they also have to run a background check first, since he wanted my ssn for that. I tend not to give my ssn until absolutely necessary. He also asked if I had ever been to one of their stores, and I said no, he then suggested I go check one out. I did so today...DD12 can not go in there!! She will spend my entire paycheck!! They had alot of decent inexpensive stuff that kids will love. They are a store with all items 5.00 and under geared mainly towards the tween set. The items are high quality though, not the garbage quality you find at the dollar store. I was pleasntly surprised when I was there today. Keep your fingers crossed!!! I need full time with benefits!!

Yes that answered my questions.. However, right now, DH is changing "our" minds again for our current cruises.. We may switch one of them to the Christmas 2010 one or something.. I dunno but he is driving me NUTZ!!!!

I just got 2 calls from DCL. Based on my fax last year, they are holding a Cat 3 on both the May 26th Med and the June 12th Baltic for me. I don't think I'll use either one at this point. I might be tempted if we'd still be in Europe and if we hadn't already done those ports.

The funny thing is the suite prices are more reasonable than the lower categories, especially if you fill them up!
