God bless those poor people! We donated as well.

I would now like to see all the celebrities who held telethons for tsunami victims also do it again for our own who now need us more than ever. Angelina? Brad? :)

Amen!!

you are SOOO right, they (the celebrities)could all probably afford to donate an easy 1 million or so.....

Definitely a time for all Americans to come together and give what we can.
Godspeed HeelMD! You and all those in the paths of the disaster are in our prayers ^i^.

Done....
I also sent an e-mail to everyone in my address book with the red cross link to do the same. Let's all do that. Even if only half the people do it ,imagine the amount they could raise. !!!! God bless us all....Tracey

I just donated thx to the disboard link ...................thx DIS for supporting this cause and making it so convenient for us to donate!!!!

Add me to the list of donations made -

Thanks for starting this thread - I am more than happy to donate before I leave for vacation this week - we have to come together and help in this time of need to those left w/o their homes and loved one

The children are our future and we have to protect them all we can

First thank you for starting this thread - there are so many giving folks -anyhow the Holiday Inn is selling tickets for a huge party being given with all donations and everyone, including my shop, is donating timefood, drinks, music and products etc to be sold, raffled and auctioned off with ALL proceeds going to the Katrina's victims and the ARC- I am proud of Brevard County for stepping up to the plate.
I love the ARC - they helped me many years ago when as a single mom, didn't have the monies to bury my children - they stepped up to the plate and helped me through difficult times. Its payback time.
God Bless America and those that give so freely from the heart.
Blessings always
Shirley

I am going tomorrow to my local Red Cross to see what I can do, nothing will be enough but if everybody does something it's a start. I know I will give blood, but I had that planned before all this happened, I can't donate very much money, but I will go to Walmart and but cases of water if they say that's what will help. As I'm typing I'm watching the tv showing more and more devastation and hungry people---so sad!
Pray all you can.

We just donated thru the link on the DIS board. Just wish there was more we could do for the poor people. :sad1:

I am sitting here with chills and tears in my eyes. Thank you for your donations, anything that is given will be used

As a Red Cross staff member I know that this operation will be going on for a long time. In several weeks I will probably be headed to the area to help out.

We are prepared to deliver 500,000 meals a day in LA, MS, AL and TX. It is a huge undertaking

Thank you all!

Debbie

I donate through work and in addition to the monetary contributions from employees, the company I work for (R.E.I. Co-op) just sent off a pallet of equipment and supplies from our warehouse. I know as I did the paperwork for this pallet.

Andrew

i am donating with matching funds from my company as well...

do you realize that even a few dollars help....if 1 million people each only donated $1 it would be a $1,000,000. so if the same donated $5 each it would be $5,000,000....just think of all that could buy... :wizard:

Way to Go Aggie!

Texas Ag's are the best folks I know.

Gig 'em.

Jim

DH just got back from a business trip and it's the first thing that he suggested. (Beat me to it. ;) )

Donation made.

Add us to the list of Dis Donors...can't think of a better place to put our money. The devastation is just beyond belief. Best wishes to everyone in the storm ravaged Gulf coast.

Just heard on the news that the WDW Company has donated 2.5 million and that does not include the personal employee donations.......

And for those in Texas - esp. Houston - WAY TO GO - with your donations of time and hospitality. I saw folks with welcome signs in the middle of the night - as the those being evacuated were pulling up to the Texas dome....
