I've been checking the trains too.....Is the nearest train station Cardiff Bay?

Any idea how much a taxi from Cardiff Central station to the hotel would be?

Cardiff Central is the station you need hon, no need to worry about Taxi's, Im off that day and quite happy to pick people up from the station and drop them to the hotel, its right round the corner from me

I'll be catching the train too, I've looked at times and although it's quite a journey, I'd rather be comfy on the train than alone in my car.

I think i'll probably take the train too as it takes the same amount of time on the train as it would if I were to drive. I think the only issue I have is I need to take the tube (with my luggage) but I think i'll survive as it's the same line.

Fingers crossed it stays as the October weekend.

I've just been nosing around the hotel's website and came across things close by and googled Mermaid Quay. It looks quite nice there to eat and other things, I've posted a link so people can have a look. I've never been myself, but was just excited, so had to post

There's lots of nice restaurants in the "Bay" - they're all very close i.e concentrated in one area more or less.

It's going to be an AMAZING weekend - I can't wait!
