Well...long story short: I recently discovered that I am no longer entitled to apply for a student loan despite having two more years left of Medicine to study, and therefore in September I have to move back home to my parents who live an hour away from Cardiff

If I don't find a room buddy though, I'm sure I can stay with some mates in Cardiff. But really, I would love to stay at the hotel with all the DIS girls

Hi girls. I'm not sure I will be able to come this year. Regrettably, our finances aren't what they were and this will be just before our October holiday, so I think I may struggle to find the money.
I am thinking of looking for an extra job though, so if I get anything then the extra income will help to pay for the nicer things in life, like the girly weekend.

I checked our diary at work today and so far, each of the weekends mentioned are free for my team. So hopefully once a date is decided upon, I'll be able to confirm with work and make it for the weekend

I am so sad that I can't make it this year. We are flying to Los Angeles on 26th September and won't be back in the UK until 14th October so none of the dates that were proposed would have worked for me. I am scheduled to work 24th and 25th September and I am having more than the maximum leave in a row anyway so there is no way that I can convince my boss that he will let me have another two days off.

Hmmm just looked at trains and it takes over 5 1/2 hours with minimum of 5 changes, think I will be driving as it only takes 4 hours!!

Any idea how much a taxi from Cardiff Central station to the hotel would be?

I will be getting the train. There is an hourly train from manchester to cardfiff that stops at my local station. It will probably take most of the day but never mind, plenty of time to read and listen to music
