Wow, that looks a long way. I have put the directions on the first post from the railway station. You will come out of the station onto the main road, and there's a Toys R Us opposite. Cross the main road, and go through the Toys R Us car park and there's a retail park, follow the road/retail park to the right and you will see a TGI Friday's and the hotel in behind TGI's

Looks like a lot of you have been in the wars. I hope that everybody who is unwell at the moment or their loved ones or fur babies are better in time for the weekend.

My getting ready for the weekend has stalled. I still have not made my jewellery for Saturday night (but getting started on this once I have posted this) and still have not bought the alcohol (that is being taken care of either later today or tomorrow). Tomorrow I will charge the camera, the eBook Reader and the Netbook and pack and then I am finally good to go.

I have looked through the hotel room info and I don't think there are fridges in standard rooms - might have to settle for warm wine!

I am bringing a cool bag Andrea - so although it probably won't be any good for saturday, it should keep things cool on the Friday afternoon

Snap, i've got a cool box & ice packs......and I hope they've got an ice machine as I will fill it with ice on Saturday.

I think that's probably wishful thinking Claire - can't imagine the Novotel will have an ice machine. I suppose we could always ask at reception if they could let us have some ice

Ok, it is official, I really have the attention span of a gnat at the moment and this might well be an insult to all gnats. So I got my tools and supplies out to make the jewellery for Saturday. Bracelet - done, necklace - in production, earrings -ah earrings, small problem. I have not actually got any gold fish hooks. I normally never work with gold plated findings. The reason why I am doing it this time is that I accidentally ordered gold plated split rings last time round. So I decided to have a go, especially as this goes perfectly with a dress I own. I remembered to get gold plated jump rings and toggle clasps, but forgot the gold plated fish hooks. So I either have to see if I can get some later today or just use Sterling silver fish hooks.

So as I posted on FB my pampering didn't go to plan. Turn up at the Spa and its been closed own for not paying its lease!

Managed to get a mani and a pedi somewhere else (so it is now ok to look at my feet) and my eyebrows done, but no haircut or facial.
