**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

Sounds like a fab weekend planned. I will be home then for the summer but Southampton just too faraway for me. Hopefully one of the next meet ups I will be able to make it, if its further up the country. Would be so great to meet you all.

Will keep reading your plans and will have a good drink that weekend so I sort of feel part of it.:rotfl:

Hi ladies:goodvibes
all caught up now! Thanks for the Southampton photos Mandy, think its gonna be an awesome weekend, 11am and thinking about cocktails yummmm:love:
Looks like there are even more ladies for me to meet, going to be so nice to finally see the people behind the names, just worried I'll never remember who everybody is.
Fingers crossed they are right about the august weather, we are certainly due!:sad2: And i too will be joining the liquid refreshment brigade, dont think i can cope with 3 floors of Primark chaos, generally i walk in, take a look at the madness and walk straight back out:lmao:
Have a great day everyone xx

Forgot to say, Louise (Buzz for boys) and myself are officially booked. Yay cannot wait to meet everybody.

Tina

I was very excited to be pointed in the direction of this thread by Joh, but then sad to see how far away the destination is - but I really wanna come! I'll be able to get a reasonably priced train to London I imagine, but then where do I go from there? Any suggestions for cheap tranport so I can join the madhouse?!

have a look at megatrain - I'm not sure about the times (there's only a couple a day), but they can be bought for about £1.50 each way. They go from London Waterloo and take you to Southampton Central.

Hi

I looked at trains today and my journey is: Drive to Slough, then train to Reading, then eading to Southampton. Maybe look at gateway stations so that you do not need to go into London.

Good luck

Tina

No suggestions on transport, sorry Meryll. I do hope you can make it though since we didn't get to meet you on the cruise :)

Well it looks like a few of us have booked rooms and have a spare place so the more the merrier, literally :D I know Southern had some deals on and it covers Southampton from Milton Keynes if that helps :teeth:

Haha I know, I think I saw you guys once or twice when delivering FE gifts, but I was too afraid to speak in case I was wrong. We didn't do the meet as we decided it was our honeymoon after all and we'd only just got rid of all our family and friends! :lmao:

I'm going to check out Megatrain now, and anything else I can think of - thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Hope you can sort something Meryll, it would be great to meet even before we meet in September!

Reading is a great station you can get everywhere from there!

Have a look at Flybe - there are flights from leeds- bradford to southampton airport and then its only one stop on the train to southampton central.

Also Im sure you can get a train direct to southampton from leeds or york - check the national rail site as booked in advance they are often cheaper than you'd think

Ive just checked the flybe prices for you from Leeds Bradford and you can get one for £3 plus taxes on the friday evening and same on sun evening which ends up as £62 return

Im not sure where abouts in N Yorks you are/how close to Leeds Bradford
