**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

Leeds Bradford should work coz work is only half an hour drive from there and I should be able to stay in work accommodation the nights on either side.

I've seen the £62 return flights, which I can manage with my luggage I think and the train is the same price but takes 4 times as long!
The trains between stops in Southampton are only a couple of quid!

I'm really keen to do this now but am going to have to wait until next payday (or possibly even the one after!) to check I have enough cash - we're trying to move house at the moment and have our WDW trip in September to pay for!

It's looking promising though, keep your fingers crossed for me that the flight and hotel prices don't go up in the next few weeks! Then I'll need to find a room buddy at that point too...

As said before there are several of us who have rooms booked and no room buddy at present so no rush in having to decide. My room is paid for so if anyone needs to wait, until the weekend, for money to pay their share that is no problem :)

I just saw a morrisons advert and thought of the girly weekend- wines are half price ;) I assume some of us will take bottles of wine to have in the rooms?

:thumbsup2 you assume correctly, its a necessary part of the get to know each other part.

yeah im the same, i could use the extra cash for shopping or towards my meals. I dont mind if someone decides to join us all at the last minute, i know theres a few who said they wouldnt know until the week before. :)
I booked my room as 2 guests-breakfast is included. All rooms are queen beds with a sofa pull out though. :goodvibes

Thinking that if parking is only £3 a day, then I will drive and can then bring supplies of the liquid variety :thumbsup2

Also if anyone is travelling from the East/West Sussex area and are near the coast can offer a lift.

Yes made sure when I booked it was for two adults, saves changing nearer the date :)

Thats what made me decide to drive! :lmao: The thought of dragging my suitcase & a load of wine on & off three train changes didn't appeal!

I have just treated myself to the most fabulous dress for the girly weekend (ive got it in black )

For those of you in 2 minds about driving like myself !! Ive had a look at www.megabus.com and for a return trip from birmingham to southhampton its £30 at the moment. Will only let you book a month in advance but thought I would share as its a lot cheaper than the train.

I priced up the coach from Manchester to Southampton for last weekend when I was down there and could have done it for £1.99. - £1 Manchester to London and then 99p from London to Southampton . I decided though that I didnt fancy sitting on a coach for about 10 hrs

fab dress Nat :cool1:
think we need some more clothes pics, i need to buy some but stuck what to get.
