Do you know of any pubs near Primark ? I can think of some coffee shops, but we may want something a bit stronger by then

I have a plan and if it works I may be able to get to Southampton on the Saturday night ... I will break the journey at my DIS friend Helen's house on the Friday and then the 2 of us will hopefully get to Southampton Saturday. This does depend on work shifts etc etc, but I so want to meet everyone and I hope we manage to pull it off. I'm officially excited now

That's so close you have to pop by and meet us!!! And don't worry, as someone who had only met 2 DISers until May last year, believe me they are definitely a friendly bunch and hardly anyone bites!!!

Would like to say yes i'm coming but to be honest i don't think i fit in with anyone, i don't drink & hate clothes shopping , so the thought of being left out & lonely makes me think i might as well stay at home and be that there in my own four walls instead of somewhere strange.

I'll definitely come up for the shopping ( on the train of course, wouldn't want to be stopped for drunk driving ).
May even come up for the weekend. Have got as far as looking at the hotel but all twin rooms have gone.
Know if I come up early Saturday and enjoy myself, I won't want to go home
Will think about it. Anyone else feeling the same?

Must go now as I have 15mins to get ready for work

As for me will have a think about it and let you know, bit broke at the moment so cant book hotel yet anyway.

I think you should come Jill. Lots of us won't be clothes shopping....well I won't be anyway. I am sure we will all be making a trip to the Disney Store.

As for drinking - you don't have to drink, I am sure most of us will have a few whilst we sit down to dinner but you don't have to, it's all about having fun & meeting new friends.

I don't think there were twin rooms to start with, myself & Karen have a double room which includes a pull out sofa bed.

Im getting more tempted as the day goes on, checked out the route already. plus you can book the hotel via Quidco (via expedia)
will def ask Matt later if he's ok with it, can book hotel early this weekend.

I agree with Claire, I'm quite reluctant to meet new people sometimes, I think not only is it my appearance (I've put on quite a bit of weight since having children) but I lost quite a lot of confidence when I stopped working, my interaction with adults is quite limited on a daily basis and sometimes you get out of the groove of being a person again on your own right and I certainly don't want to talk about my kids all the time....
I was very nervous beore meeting Karen (custardtart) for a coffee sometime ago but within ten minutes we were chatting away and nothing could stop us, and that was one to one!

I'm sure you'd be fine in no time if you came along Nicky
