Hola Peeps!
I ended up going next door last night around 10:45 to take care of Bethany. My neighbor asked me to go over as the girl stopped answering her texts. First, she indicated she was there. Then she just stopped. The dog was REALLY thirsty when I let her out. We went for a walk, played with the Russian dog (neighbors) & got a # 1 and a # 2 out of the way. Then she scarfed down a couple scoops of food. This girl finally came home around 11:30 I guess. (Right after I came home.) I had left her a note so then she came over here and rang our bell to say "I'm home". At 11:35 at night.

DS said he did not hear it tho. But really, she must not be the brightest bulb in the pack. She said she had gone to Bethesda to babysit. The couple was supposed to be home by 8:00 but ran late and she couldn't leave the kids. Uhh...ya think?

But Debbie gave her my number...just in case something like this came up. She should've called me and shouldn't have lied to Debbie. So I wonder how TONIGHT will go?!

She is over there with a guy right now...
Anne - Jared read the Marley & Me book last summer (the kids version) so I am planning to take him to see the movie on Friday (he has no swimming so it's a good thing to do to finish up the week). I heard it's quite sad tho.
Katie - oh BRRRRR Girlfriend! We are not as cold but we have sustained 50 mph winds so it FEELS very cold. We are supposed to get down to about 20 tonight. The front door is whistling again with all this wind!

Of course today was trash / recycling day so everything is blown ALL OVER THE PLACE and I keep seeing trash cans and recycling bins blow by the house. I came home from swimming to about 8 beer bottles, 2 beer cans, 3 coke cans, 3 water bottles and a couple 2 liter bottles of soda in our yard. There is stuff EVERYWHERE out there. I see a pine tree broke in half in the yard behind us.
We have no plans for NYE (since my neighbor who always makes the plans is in Cancun! LOL). I was thinking about ordering Chinese...then I found a couple of Rib Eyes on sale at the store yesterday & figured with the sale those would be even cheaper...so we will have those with baked potatoes & I have some leftover broccoli casserole from the other day. Tomorrow we eat traditional "good luck" type fare all day. Pork. Lots of pork (supposed to symbolize prosperity and abundance) and legumes (beans symbolize money and prosperity). So I am making Eggs Benedict for breakfast (Canadian Bacon). I got a big pack of spare ribs & some sauerkraut to make for dinner. Also got some lentil soup for lunch with grilled cheese sandwiches. Debated about making Texas Caviar but decided to go with lentils instead. All supposed to help with luck and prosperity. Goodness knows we need it, right. This has been a doozey of a year!
