Worked outside all afternoon. Will be feelin' it tomorrow I'm sure. Finished cutting down my last couple of perennial beds...DH took the blower and attached the bag to it and mulched leaves....then I had him dump some of them on my beds for a winter mulch layer. Came in around 5:30 - it got too dark to see. If I could just get another hour or so out there this week I could be DONE!!

Found out today on the DVC boards that they're upping the DVC minimum add-on at BLT from 25 to 100 points on Jan. 16 AND raising the AKV price to $112 / pp. Also, heard they're raising the minimum buy-in for new contracts to 200 points at BLT. I REALLY wanted to do a small add-on at AKV or BLT (after I got a job). I was not thinking 100 points tho (more like 50-75 - enough to plan for an every other year trip) and the more I think about it the more I wonder if we'll be able to get into BLT w/o owning since it will be so small. Darn it DVC!! I wish they were holding off until after we figure out our taxes which won't be until probably Feb.. Double darn it!

Ophie / TZM - did you guys happen to check out the BLT models while you were there? They look so purty on paper!

Well, time to go look thru the pantry & figure out something for dinner....maybe tortellini....maybe chix nuggets....maybe fish sticks....

Ophie / TZM - did you guys happen to check out the BLT models while you were there? They look so purty on paper!

We did not get a chance to see it. We were busy all week. I think that we will wait to for a 7 month booking window and use points we already have. I would recommend waiting to buy some resale in a smaller alottment. The reason the minimum is more is because of how many points it takes to stay there.

i am posting blind...my left contact has been hurting for a week and i decided to break down and put on a pair of glasses to let them rest, I have no depth of field..so i have banned myself to bed tonguth

sat on the back patio in the sun drenched chair today with sami and napped..it was a perfect day followed bu a big bow of Pasta E Fagouli Soup

Morning' peeps! We were well on our way to page 3 this morning! A little help here please!!! (Where are Phyllis, Ophie & Sue Ellen?!)

DS has 1/2 day today & tomorrow for teacher conferences and to pick up his report card which seems funny - I know his grades already from Edline (4 A's & 3 B's). He has an orthodontist appt. at 4:00 today to get his night guard retainer thingy & DH has his early class this evening so I think I will try to hit the conferences tomorrow afternoon. These 1/2 days are so silly...he has "B" lunch today (10:30) and "A" lunch tomorrow (10:00). I told him to pretend it's a big snack & then I'll probably feed him again this afternoon. He could use the extra calories anyway.

Well, I need to run out to the grocery store...TTYL

Annie - glad you survived the reunion. And the whole A lunch, B lunch...way too complicated for me.

We have conferences this week. No school yesterday or today but 1/2 days the rest of the week for conferences. Mine is Thursday. I think.

DDs are still sleeping. Did I tell you its a LONG A@@ drive to my moms!? The girls did well. This weekend we are staying home!! And I mean it!! Then the 22nd my dad flies in and its off to the ranch for Thanksgiving traditions. Marking and branding the calves. WHOOPEE!! Anyone want to help??

OK have to unpack and do laundry. Pick up the cat from the vet - he spent the weekend getting medical care - hmmm what else? Make some phone calls. Going to go wake up the Tassimo machine and demand a vanilla latte.

Well, my day did not go as planned. I went out to get gas and pick up a couple of things from Home Depot before hitting the grocery store! OH! The regular gas at the 'el cheapo cash only pay first generic gas station was like $2.14 or something like that! I actually got 1/2 tank of gas for $25!!! OK, anyway, after that celebration I went to the grocery store. I HATE trying to be so thorough with my list and my price comparisons. It takes so long. Anyway, so I get home finally and put the stuff away and start eating my lunch...and DH comes home...it was around 1:45 or so. "You ready" he says. I'm like FOR? "Conferences". I said I thought we were going on WEDNESDAY. He says "I just got an email that says they're only doing them TODAY." WHAT? I didn't get this email. But so OK, FINE. So we went to school until 3:30. I had to leave 'cuz DS had his ortho appt. at 4:00 so we missed the PE & Band teachers - but oh well. We hit the others. It was set up in the gym - all of them in alphabetical order & you just go & wait your turn for your kids teachers.

So THEN I rush DS to the orthodontist. He picked this neon rainbow color for his retainer. WELL. So they bring it out and IT'S GOT A METAL BAND on it!!! It says plainly in his file on the computer "NO METALS". Well, so we TOOK IT and even tho he's only supposed to wear it to sleep in he's wearing it for right now & we're on "allergy watch" before he goes to bed. They went on the assumption that we'd likely have a problem and went ahead & made another impression before we left. That would at least save 1 trip back if we need to get something else made. So, we'll see if he swells up again.

OK, so I have a brainstorm...the inaguration is a really, really big deal here now...so absolutely ALL of the hotels in the area are booked solid for like the whole week...and people are listing their homes for rent and rooms for rent etc. for some BIG bucks. Now, of course,. we're in the suburbs....so we couldn't get THAT MUCH but should we think about listing our spare rooms on Craigs List for this? If everything else is booked we might be able to get $500 / room or so for 3-4 nights. (Homes in the city are going for between $5-7,000). Oh. And I'd have to clean again.
