WOW, Betsy. I can't believe that is you. I have to say when we first met pulling up at he port that was the first thing I thought....wow, shes even skinnier than I thought she was! The pictures you had posted don't do you justice. You should be so proud of your accomplishment!

Good luck with the planning Annie. We havent gotten anything else accomplished on our trip...too much going on. My parents are actually in Vegas this week so there was no way we could bring up another trip to my father at this time. He's totally against traveling at all, but Mom got him out there for their anniversary (42 years!)

Good news! Colt (and DH) didn't lose tonight...a 0-0 tie was very nice.

Good job Mom! That's why I'm trying to plan this trip next summer...my parent's 50th anniversary! I think my family WANTS to go...it's the money that's the hold up. I think we ALL need things to turn around with the economy 'eh?!

well..I don't know about you guys, but my day started GREAT!!

Went to flip on the lights in my office and BOOM! Blew the switch out and burned my hand and melted my keys and lit up the room with a flash! I have a nice black finger on my right hand and a blister..Fire Dept came to make sure the wall wasn't smoldering..a good time!

I think this calls for a martini breakfast!

This weekend? Hmm...soccer on Saturday. And a 3rd grade party planning meeting Sunday evening. Not too exciting.

Hoping our friends from Kingsburg come blast pumpkins with us this weekend or next!!

Weekend. Hrumph. This is the annual "mommy's beach weekend" where the Mom's in our neighborhood go to Bethany Beach to my neighbors beach house for the weekend & ditch the Dads & Kids & go drink Sangria on the beach & go out for fresh hot doughnuts in their jammies and shop at the Delaware outlets. (Guess who's NOT going this year! ) I opted out 'cuz there is a home Redskins game on Sunday...I didn't think DS should be left at home alone all day while Daddy was tailgating and Mommy was shopping! PLUS it would just be an awful thing to have to ask DH to take him to swimming a couple of times and to feed him. But really, of course, I really have no business outlet shopping...

So...ummm...it's supposed to be in the mid-upper 70's for the weekend (would've been a great weekend for the beach ) but so I might wash my truck...and of course it's that time of year where I really should start cutting down my perennial beds... I might hook up with an old friend on Sunday after DS's swimming...she will have her Grandson...he's in kindergarten but LOVES Jared 'cuz he's a big boy to play with!

Gert - I heard of a place up in Thurmont or someplace that has pumpkin blasting or something similar...

OMIGosh, Betsy! I think that definiitely calls for some extreme Mimosa. I'm glad youre ok. Do the guys give Rick a hard time if his wife has to call the fire dept?

This weekend will be tomorrow a couple of games, then Sunday is my neice's birthday party (I can't believe shes 19!!!!), and between all that work laundry, errands, etc... At some point I would like to move the summer clothes from my closest, but I just have not had time yet. I did the kids a couple weeks ago, but so mcuh for me. And did I mention, I HATE THAT JOB!!!!!
