You guys are wasting the best time of year...

44 degrees out on my back step this morning! I see my next door neighbor has gone out to let her car warm up before she heads to the gym! She really likes her seat warmers! And THAT is why Katie and I are in sweat pant & fuzzy slipper mode!! There were frost warnings just north of us for last night... DS went out to catch the bus & says "I can see my breath!" Ummm...yeah. That's a bit nippy!

LOL! Yep, this morning they said it was the coldest since last winter. Not sure about our exact temps, but the whole area was in the low 40's high 30's. July is the best time of year!

Youre not kiddin! But it is supposed to warm up to mid 60's today and by Thurs and Fri we might hit 70..woohoo! Of course that is for like 1 hour out of the day, LOL, but it sounds nice to say its going to be 70.

SueEllen just emailed me the Christmas itinerary!! Magic is doing 10 days, Wonder is doing 7 days!!

Now...to imagine the price tag.... Well I figure if the 10 day is bad I can get the 7 day right!?

Katie - our friend Phyllis calls 69 "lovely"! And Betsy WANTS to wear sweaters and boots! I definitely live in the wrong climate!

OK, so I am really torn about even considering these 2010 cruises...The 11 n Med cruise is priced the same on the webite as the 10 nighter...and the Cat 10's look to be only about $600 or $700 more than that 8 n Dover to Barcelona cruise...I think I have figured up after the 10% rebooking discount IF we were able to snag a SPH room on the Aug 7 11 night Med it would only be about $6,120 (+ all the fees they now charge). I don't think that's too bad. I think the higher category cabins are outrageous tho... But what I'm TORN about is that I want to go to Disney 2 times in 2010!! If we did this really long trip we'd have to skip going to WDW! Not enough vacation days to go around for all the trips we want! Maybe sticking with the orig. plan to wait for the new ships is still the best plan!

I think we will probably end up waiting for the new ships and see what 2011 brings...'cuz I wanna go to Disney in 2010 TOO! AND I want more points! AND I am unemployed. And I only made like $3.00 an hour for that last party or something stoopid like that....And the stock market tanked yet AGAIN today....ummm. I can't even spell r-e-t-i-r-e-m-e-n-t any more!

I am SUCH a scammer for that one...I have been saving up miles on our Capital One card for about 5 or 6 years....have over 176,000 now....hoping that would cover 1/2 of our airfare. Maybe. ALSO, saving up AMEX rewards on DH's Amex card....he uses it strictly for work....beeg IT purchases ya know....servers & such. We were able to transfer all of the points to Delta Skymiles the last time we went to Hawaii and covered all 3 of our flights (70,000 miles for each ticket). If I save 'em LONG ENOUGH they add up! I could of course use these free miles for our flights to FL and go many times over...but I'd rather use 'em on EXPENSIVE tickets....I think. See, the Hawaii DVC is my other plan...if it opens in 2011 as it's supposed to and we can wrangle free flights to boot....the only out of pocket expense we'll have is for food & car rental!!!! Wouldn't THAT be cool!? I AM insane aren't I?!

You know that the air schedules are not published (available for booking) until 331 days out or something like that on the major airlines, right? I don't like booking that far out anyway...they mess with the schedules too much. Of course the "low cost" carriers are only about 6 months... With the way the airlines fail I would also be afraid to book my miles too far out! We have never flown "up front" and I sorta doubt we ever will...Booking with miles will clean us out too. I'll just have to keep saving them! We wiped out the Amex ones in '06 so I hope to have them recovered in another year or two...

What do you say on these faxes? Do you give specific dates or just say call me the next time you have an opening for the Roy or Walt Suites?! Good luck! If they call do you have the option to say "pass" but keep your request out there for the next time?

I doubt we'll be going. The more I think about it the more I think about wanting more DVC points and the new ships.

Wow - Phyllis you are organized! Faxing a few years out! You be rockin'!

Being away from home at Xmas is not a big deal to me. Kinda sad I know but we are never home anyways. Even years we are with my mom and stepdad or "my side" of the family in So Cal. Odd years we are at the ranch with Neils parents. And on the even years when my family can't get their stuff together we are at the ranch. And we are back at the ranch for New Years unless of course we miss Christmas in So Cal and then maybe we flip flop and go to So Cal for New Years if the ranch gets two Christmases in a row.

So Gert says if I cannot be at my home at Christmas I might as well be on the Magic. Ok well at least that is what Gert is saying for 2010 until she sees the price quote!

Annie - I say hold off until the new ships arrive. They will be back in Europe again. Besides that will give you time to earn more air miles and you can go first class!
