ROFL, Betsy!

Thanks guys, glad Im not alone with the homework crap. :grouphug:

Nice to hear you hada good day, Johnna, even if it is not in DL.

RJ - are we back in the South Pacific again today?!:thumbsup2

WHERE does all the DUST come from?? GOOD GRIEF!! Takin' a break from the "company's comin' cleaning"! Can somebody remind me why I thought 2" wood blinds would be a good idea for window treatments??? They are SUCH a pain to dust!:headache: The dust is flyin'!! (insert coughing smiley here) So far have put off cleaning the bathrooms...but that is gonna have to happen eventually 'eh?:scared:

Drove DS to school this morning so he could have a few extra minutes to go track down this teacher for the TV Video Club. I was afraid he would get sidetracked before he ever stepped foot in the school if he rode the bus. Yep. Pretty sure of that one. I wonder if he will have homework over the weekend again. I need to email the Science teacher...she is the only one who has not posted any grades online yet. It's been 4 weeks now...there should be SOMETHING graded by now, right?:confused3

Alright...back to work!

annie - here is a hint for dusting blinds..have your vacuum with wand attachment and run that WITH your dust cloth..it grabs all the dust that flies into the air!

:lmao: OR I could do it more often than just whenever company comes to stay?! :rotfl2: Actually, I do that for the FIRST layer...then I like to go over them again with one of those swiffer duster type thingys to get what I may have missed with the vacuum method!:thumbsup2 But it's so tedious!

So while I was running the vacuum I couldn't hear the phone and I got a msg. from someone at Qiagen calling to schedule a face-to-face interview for next week. I am eating lunch now...trying muster up my nerves to call them back...:scared:

:headache: OK so I tried to call the girl back but I can't understand the phone number she left 'cuz she rattled it off so fast (TWICE) too fast!! I can't understand the last 4 of her ext. I have listened to it like 6 times. So I tried to look it up on their website...sigh. Their HQ is in Valencia, CA so there's only like an 800 # for that location. I go into the Germantown, MD location and there's an address but NO PHONE NUMBER!!! So I go to Whitepages.com....find the local # and it's all automated...dial by name!! OK, so I got that her name was Amy. But the only Amy the system has when I try that is a different voice...and their voice mail greeting sounds like an IT Dept. thing not HR. GRRRRR. So it's not the same Amy!! I have to wait for my neighbor or someone to come and listen to the freaking msg. to see if someone else can decipher it!:rolleyes1

Wait a minute!!! Am I supposed to be doing this dusting thing too? Sorry, Im not familiar with it.

nope me neither
doesn't sound fun

on the other hand, I got a wild hair and pulled out my dryer and cleaned out the vent.:confused3 oh lordy it was gross behind there.

i did that a couple weeks ago..my dryer is only 10 months old and the amount of dust was SCARY!!

clean out your vent people!! Rick has seen too many dryer house fires

including the one you almost had? ;)

that was a dryer contained fire..i mean where the house goes up too

Not only do I have to dust tomorrow, but clean my living room tables. They are glass and I had company today with an 18 month old baby. I have tiny little finger prints all around my coffee table now.:scared1:

Well, my to do list is down to about 7 things now. (CamColt - I don't dust THIS much unless company's comin' to stay!! LOL...) I think I can finish up my list in the morning. I'm tired. Ready to sit for a few min. before bed...

Took DS to swim practice at the college tonight....It was very CROWDED! I was shocked. His club had the whole pool but it was sorta small. Only 6 lanes rather than the usual 8. And I think there were more kids there than what was supposed to be. His particular program had like 24 kids in 2 lanes tonight and only 1 coach!:scared1: I think it's supposed to be 1:8 so they'll have to figure something out for this one. It was my understanding that hey had a cut-off for how many could go. I had requsted a spot for this practice back in early August and at that time they had said there was plenty of spaces. One of the other Moms had told me last Sunday that this was the least crowded practice but so far it was the worst. We will check out the Sat. one tomorrow afternoon and hope it's not too bad.

oh you know you like tiny fingerprints all over!!

ps..plan on coming next weekend..your son-in-law says he will make it work!!
(super son-in-law :rolleyes1 )

Mornin' ya'll...

Got up & dusted the stove this morning!:lmao: I think I should probably cook more! :rotfl: Put a pork roast in the crockpot with a rub on it to make pulled pork BBQ for DH's stoopid family reunion tomorrow. (Is there something wrong this picture? I am going to HIS reunion and HE is going to the Redskins game?!:confused3 ) I will whip up some coleslaw in the morning to put with it...and maybe make a TS cake...I have a Nana's Apple Cake mix...I guess I will play it by ear & see how the morning goes with BIL & GF staying here. That's one reason I decided to make my covered dish today - don't wanna futz with it tomorrow.... OH! I bought a waffle maker marked down at Target the other day. (It's also a sandwich maker.) So then I had to buy some fruit & whip cream...thought that would be a fun breakfast tomorrow. (Yeah, LeeAnn, it's always good to experiment for the first time with a new kitchen gadget with houseguests in your house!):rotfl2: I am a mess!

OK, off to clean the last bathroom and finish running the vacuum in the dining room!:scared:

Yes, Annie, something is wrong with that picture. ;) Have fun!

Anne, the good thing is your got to send the kid home and now your house will be clean again. Im looking forward to about 10 years from now when I can think about having a clean house again.

So, we have 1 game done for the day, not a good one. Cam played his friend (our neighbor) and we lost...I think it was 4-2 or 5-2 in the end. Although in fairness, DH happened to be talking to a ref on the sidelines and he even said one of the goals shouldnt have been allowed for offsides, so it really was a closer game....just bad calls. ;)

1 game to go. I hate when they are split like this...your day is shot.

And thanks for the tip...going to take clothes out of the dryer now and I will check on that. ;)

Wait a minute!!! Am I supposed to be doing this dusting thing too? Sorry, Im not familiar with it.

:lmao: I was thinking the same thing Katie!!

I am almost offended by this post.;) Guess I cannot have y'all over to my house!:rotfl2: fingerprints, dust, unclean dryer vent. I'm gonna go hang with Cheri and Katie!:rotfl:

OK off to get breakfast over with. Our soccer game is at 11 and my birthday massage is at 2!!:woohoo:

Everyone have a great day!!
