We are not scheduled to get a "direct' hit, but we will have what they call feeder bands come thru..one already did..

Charlie went the same way this one is going and we didn't have much impact except rain..but I think charlie was more compact and not so wide..

I have pulled all my guys off the job sites because they are closing them..they are also closed tomorrow. Too bad this is the billing period and having a day off just means more work on Wednesday when all the sites open back up

Hey there - hoping all FL peeps stay safe & dry!! DH has an aunt in Panama City...so am hoping it does not decide to go that way either!!

DS is quite mad at me today. I am trying to enforce the wearing of the glasses before school starts (and he does not want to be seen in them) and he got his braces on this am...the dr. said he may actually not even have to wear them for more than 3 or 4 months! I cannot believe that might be it! That would be great...but he is calling me mean and not speaking to me today!

I am about to go run some errands. DS needs one of those expensive TI-84 calculators for his math class this year...ad from Walmart for this week has them "rolled back" from $129 to $94. Staples had them for $89 last week but that was after a $30 rebate...would just as soon not mess with the rebate thing...

They said the worst of it (40-60mph winds) should be between 3am & 5pm. Gotta love that precision. They're also saying we could get a foot of rain. Fun, right?

Leetle Pirate and I traveled to Kingsburg today to dole out a bit of Leetle Pirate hug therapy. I hope we were of some help or support down there. Linden didn't break anything at the Church or the house so I figure that is a successful trip!

OK gotta gear up for soccer practice. We're gonna see if we can incorporate a little kangaroo hopping into the offense! Should be interesting. Let's see our first game is in....2 1/2 weeks! We had better get busy.

OOOO Ophie - pretttty colors!! Just kidding...I know that much rain and those kinds of winds are no fun and no joking matter! Stay in and stay safe! I am wondering if she will curve back east & come up the coast and give us some of her leftovers when she's done down there!?

Well, it turns out the ski house our group wanted to rent in January IS available...they'd just taken it off the website for a few days to update the rates and thank goodness they kept the rates reasonable!! It was a great house...6 master bedrooms + 2 others that we put the kids in (boys in one, girls in the other). Hot tub...Indoor pool...HOOOGE kitchen...fireplaces...pool table... Here's the link to it...the outside pic doesn't do it justice tho...this is actually the BACK of the house and they took it from down below...not a good angle...there's a big porch across the front...last time (2 yrs ago) it was 16 degrees and sleeting - we were out in the hot tub under the deck and got out to make snow angels on this hillside! Yeah. We were a bit crocked to do that one!
