Finally back from the beach. ARghhh...and sick naturally! STOOPID fever, congestion, sore throat, etc. BLEAH!

So you all have been a busy bunch. My internet was not working right while I was gone so I couldn't keep up with you all.

Strike looks to be averted (yay!) they do an official vote this week, but looks good and they are working. (prayers really work--thanks everyone.)

So we definitely need a reunion planned (and sooner than 2 1/2 years this time around okay?)

School already huh Cheri? Tara starts this week (college) but our public schools don't go back until after Labor Day here. We have another two weeks to go.
Trevor has a birthday just days after school starts, so I have to get planning on a party. It's always something.

Sean, I couldn't see the pics, but would love to. I know Linda took a lot of pictures and I'm sure there are some great ones.


Gert, love the tiger pics. They are so cute. We went to Alligator Adventure in Myrtle Beach and they have tigers there too. Got a cute pic of the tiger making a face at me (and sticking out her tongue) but it's a little blurry. I'll have to post it.

Well, back to work for me. Lots of catching up to do around here (and I need a nap.)

Hey ya'll...

Weekend visit with mom & dad, aunts and uncles came & went just fine...although I am REALLY tired now....I was up until 1:00 am cleaning on Fri. nite and then got up at 6:45 to finish mopping & stuff yesterday morning...then we were up late (or so it felt) last night watching Phelps & Torres finish up...then they were all up at like 6:30 or 7:00 this morning 'cuz God FORBID they ever sleep in. Well, they said that WAS sleeping in...but I am so tired right now I feel drunk... Anyway...they left around 2:00, I turned Rosie on to sweep the kitchen and then I had to go back down to the fair to pick up my entries before 4:00. Now I am trying to upload pics to Shutterfly too....I was trying to edit my pics in some sort of an order before I uploaded them so I could keep track...but I don't know where I left off... I am missing some 'cuz I know I took over 800 but right now it says I am uploading 510. I am not good with math but me thinks I am missing just a few that still need to be edited...poop!

This upload thing is going to take awhile....it is about 5:00...I think I must go throw in a load of laundry and get a cocktail....move Rosie to another room...look at Sean & Linda's pics....get another cocktail....ummm....then maybe figure out dinner....either hotdogs (aunt brought a container of hotdog chili from our favorite hotdog stand) OR I made a BEEEG batch of penne a la vodka so we have some of that left....hummm....what to do....what to do....cocktail first THEN the rest will fall in place, right?!

OH! My aunts concluded officially that my problem with the tomato plant is not a beeeg worm as I have been insisting!!! It's DEER!!!!! Yup! I see them outside of my development ALL the time but never see them IN here...but my one aunt says "I'll find some deer poop and prove it to ya". I was like OK, go ahead. Sure enough...she has some kind of 6th sense about it and she showed me a little pile on the back corner of our lot. Well, technically it was on the neighbors side of the line....but there it was! I must be goin' to Home Depot for some "Deer Away" or somethin'....

Isn't it funny how all the kid are itching already. They really had a great time, especially with other peeps. Do any of your kids have Dis names? Now that Cam is getting into this he wants to register to talk to everyone. I don't know, the Dis is my escape from the family. The 2 worlds shall not collide!

I'll have to ban him from this thread if he registers though, LOL! He's already driving me crazy (love ya, Cam ). He just came down here while Im trying to work and said "Did you see Sean & Linda's pictures? My finger hurts there were so many". So of course now, I had to stop working and click on here to check out pictures.

Glad you are back, SE. Hope you feel better though. UGH!

Cheri, good luck with back to school day! We dont go back until the 4th, but Im not looking forward to it. It will be nice to have peace and quiet during the day again, but the running around and homework and that stuff makes it tough. Plus Cam is at a new school this year so we have a new morning schedule as he leaves earlier, and new bus stop, etc..I dont like change.

Well for now I am gong to enjoy summer as we are supposedly getting the best week of the summer this week. I actually wore a bathing suit and laid out in the sun today....I have not done that since the downpour at CC on that Saturday. Yes our weather has been THAT crappy!

Ok, really have to finish work then Im checking out the pics. Betsy, your comment cracked me up. First the kiss then then karaoke!

LOL! No, I thought it was awesome. Very creative! Anyone who gets up there and sings I give all the credit in the world to. I would never do it alone. With a group, sure, but never alone. You know the sound the microphone makes when it gets interference or whatever, that big squeak noise...that would sound good compared to me singing.

speaking of accents and talking. On the way driving home yesterday we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for dinner in NC. Everyone was having breakfast for dinner (except me--who was sick and wanted Chicken & Rice)
We always get Trevor sugar free maple syrup (the less sugar the better!) and the server had hurried off before we could ask. So as he was passing back by the manager was also walking past and heard my 'excuse me' squeek.
He stopped instead of our server and asked what he could do for us. I asked for the sugar free syrup and he looked at me with this confused look
I said it again and he said 'I'm sorry?' So I repeated it once again and he was like "OH, okay." He comes back over and apologizes, and says --now get this--that I was talking so fast he couldn't understand me! Okay, I live ONE state away (in fact we were only 2 hours from home) I didn't think to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n my speech and tawlk morah southern to him y'all
It might not sound as funny here as it was--but we were all cracking up--picturing someone from up North talking to him--imagine Katie's Bahston accent...LOLOLOLOL.

Betsy, your karaoke was cute. Mine--scary I'm afraid to see the final product.
