DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

yes..I love that martini..I have learned to make them!

We had alot of fun..although, I look 4 months pregnant!

Yummm...(to BOTH the Cheesecake Factory AND to Carrabbas)!! We ended up doing the 99 cent fish fillets at Mickey D's last nite and tonight we had a coupon for California Tortilla (buy 1 get 1 free). It is our 3rd choice for burritos behind Chipotle and Baja Fresh BUT for a free one...well, sacrifices must be made!:rotfl: Thank goodness for take-out! I have not tried that martini yet...but I HAVE become pretty addicted to the Chocolatini's now that they're all handy dandy in my freezer just waiting on me to scoop 'em out!:rotfl: They have been giving the 'ole Captain a run for his money lately!:rotfl2:

Nice pic Betsy...it looks so WARM down there!! God I miss shorts already! And I HATE doing winter laundry! Absolutely hate the extra loads. When I went to Home Depot the other day for my filters & stuff I detoured thru the washers...OMG - they have 1 that is like 4.5 Cubic Feet or something like that! I could put DS in that thing! I could cut out 2 loads I'm sure! Just something else to dream about besides more DVC points!

OK, well, National Treasure is on tonight so gonna go join DH in a few minutes. May as well get our good out of the HBO or Starz or whatever it's on!:thumbsup2

WHAT Woman? Honestly, I looked at that picture and my first thought was, Damn, she lost more weight! :thumbsup2

Annie - last year we bought the LG Tromm washer and dryer..4.0 cubic ft capicity with a spin of 1300 rpm and steam...oh!! they are NICE!

Oh sure - rub it in!!:rolleyes1 I was looking at a top loading Maytag but I saw your LG's too...do you use the steam feature much? What do you do with that? That doesn't eliminate going to the dry cleaner does it?:confused3 I don't know if I want a front loader or not...my laundry room is this 'L' shaped thing that is our path in from the garage and the washer sits in the small end of the 'L' so I'm not sure I would have enough space for that door to open out. And I also have a shelf over it exactly like yours that I use to hang things to dry...so those pedestals are not an option...do you ever wish you had them tho for the washer?? With a front loader you can't drop more stuff in once it starts can you?

I'm tired. It's very windy here today and it woke DS up at like 6:00 and he started yelling for me. I never quite got back to sleep.:headache: MAN! It's SUNDAY!

Happy Anniversary to Steve & SueEllen!

Yeah, what she said!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SE AND STEVE!!!!!

WHAT Woman? Honestly, I looked at that picture and my first thought was, Damn, she lost more weight! :thumbsup2
I had the same thought, "wow, she's lost even more weight." have to give that girl a call and make sure she is still eating.

Hope you are having a Magical Anniversary and a great trip, Sue Ellen & Steve!

annie - if you notice, the bifold doors to the laundry room are not there..that is because the machines are too deep to fit inside with the doors. Since our laundry area is upstairs where no one but family goes, I don't care..saving the money for water and drying are worth it n(washer uses less water and spins so fast, clothes come out barely damp..thus, less dry time)
You can add clothes to the washer..there is a "pause" and the water RARELY comes up to the door..unless it is a large load. But you wouldn't add clothes at that point because they are almost done and rinsing
The steam feature is for heavy stained clothes..I use it for Sami's bedding and blankets. I use to wash her towels and beds in hot water with bleach but could never get the pee smell out. This steam works great..It also has its own heater, so you aren't draining your hot water tank to wash with hot

I really can't say enough about it..there are some people who don't like it and have given it bad reviews, but my towels and laundry have never smelled so clean..i think my previous top loaders retain water in the bottom and had mold because I could never get my towels to smell super fresh

:rotfl2: So DH could use it for our bedding one day since I am near the geriatric age! :rotfl:

I know that smell! My washer has a funky mildewy smell sometimes...Seems worse when the humidity is higher...never thought about it not draining well!! Hummmm:confused3

that is the nice thing about the front loader..it has a drain in the bottom you can empty once a month (when I do the tub clean feature)

if you don't have room to leave the washer door open, don't get a front loader. Because it is water tight, it is air tight..if you close the door when it is wet, you will grow mold. because of where mine is, I leave the door and detergent drawer open until dry

oh..we didn't get the pedestals because they are on the 2nd floor and that would have raised the center of gravity..i didn't want a shaking problem so we didn't get them..if they were on concrete, i don't think they would be a problem

Hope you are having a Magical Anniversary and a great trip, Sue Ellen & Steve!

OOOOH! A Trip?! Where did they go?! How wonderful!:goodvibes Happy Anniversary guys!party:

DH is getting ready to head out for his Redskins game...brrrr is it COLD out there! It's like low 40's and WINDY! I went out for like 10 min. awhile ago to fix the net over my pond 'cuz it was blowing loose...that wind was BITTER! I am afraid for his Skins tho today...Portus is out I think with a knee injury...not what they need against the Cowboys!:scared:

I think they are in WDW, aren't they?

Ya know, it always amazes me the weather these football fans wil sit in. As much as I love hockey if it were outside there is no way I'd be going to games. Ok, maybe a game 7 Stanley cup with the Bruins in it, but any other game, forget it. :rotfl: Heck, I was cold when we went to a Red Sox game in July a couple years ago. :rolleyes1

WOOHOO! :woohoo:

Went to BevMo for the 5 cent sale....gots me a stash of Asti Cinzano :thumbsup2

I also found a Chilean Chardonney to try.....I've never had it before, it'll be nice to try sumthin' new.

We also managed to pick up a new Christmas tree from Lowe's....the old one had lights that didn't work in the middle of the tree. Guess we got our $ out of it though, it lasted 5 yrs.

Now we can decorate the tree when Bob comes home in 9 days!! :woohoo:

 WhooHoo RJ!! :woohoo: (OK, now what is BevMo?:confused3 )

Trees...ugg...I need to find out if that Boy Scout troop will be selling them up the road again this year! I priced artificial ones...the size we would want would be like $600-700!! Ain't happenin' this year! I DID feel bad for DS the other day after he made a comment about our ornaments that got broken last year when the darned tree fell down...He said something about maybe we shouldn't get a tree this year since we lost so many ornaments. We still had plenty left but he sounded so sad. I had gotten an email with a 40% off coupon for ornaments for "4 days only" at World Market...so I took him over there the other nite after our hair cuts and let him pick out a few. He enjoyed getting to do that and that made it a little more special for him (more than if I just picked up a box of them from Target or something). Those individual ones are always so one-of-a-kind-ish, ya know.

Just heard Bruce Springsteen will be the halftime entertainment for the Superbowl!!! :woohoo: BRUCE!!!!! Love him!

OK, time to go heat up some tomato soup & make a grilled cheese for me & DS for dinner.

I recently found out one of my nieces good friends who goes to BC, lives in the same dorm at Bruce Springsteen's son. :worship: I was talking to his parents recently and they were saying how at parents' weekend, all the parents were out in the rain at one of the evens but Bruce was in the Presidents box or whatever. Nice.:thumbsup2 Can you imagine your kid getting his roomate assignments for college and seeing "Evan Springsteen"

RJ, your status just cracked me up....just finished Wii ing!:lmao:

Betsy, I hope your pork loin was good. Ok, does anyone else love reading everyones status updates? :goodvibes
