DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

Feel better SE. Ear drum sounds ouchy.

Cheetah Girls movie :thumbsup2 loved the dancing in the first two so if Babs won't watch it with me, I'll watch it myself - so there!

Weekend plans? Grandma's 80th birthday party. It's the start of "party season" here. Nothing happens in my family for years and then BANG! B-day party, bridal shower, a baptism & party, wedding all in 7 weeks. Gonna push back the start of Christmas shopping*

*Almost choked when, shopping in Nassau with RJ, she said, "I'm usually half way done by now." In July???

We had heavy thunderstorms all afternoon with tornado warnings and flood watch until almost 6:00pm. It is still raining but no thunder boomers which I hate!:scared1: It is the tail of Fay's feeder bands coming through. Will this storm ever go away? Melbourne and Cocoa had nearly 30 inches of rain in two days. That is the yearly average. The local news said tonight 7 deaths contributed to this storm.

30 inches of rain!!? Wow - continue to stay safe!

Cheri - if you hurry you can be Ry's guest to see Cheetah Girls!!

Xmas shopping!? OK I admit I have a few people crossed off the list. Gots a little something for Miss Cheri but it's too hot to send right now.

Redistricting is interesting. The are building a new HS here - so redrew the feeder school lines. Our kids don't move but the poor Drama & Dance Magnet schools kids get to go to the new HS - which should be good - 'cept there is no dance or drama program there. ??:confused3

Cheri - if you are going to be so busy - when are we gonna go to KPC??

 Where is my puzzle?! I gots no puzzle!!

Weekend plans. Hummm...other waiting on the Fed Ex man? :confused3

Neighbors are having a cookout on Sunday afternoon...thinkin' I gots to take some Tastefully Simple sumthin' or other!:rotfl2: Makin' a bucket of water balloons to take too. Get the kids all wet & make a colorful mess in someone else's yard!:thumbsup2 (The water balloons were mentioned by THEM not me!:goodvibes )

Let's see...laundry...set up new email account & website. Play with samples when they arrive.:rolleyes1 Guess that 'bout covers it.

Mornin' ya'll!!:goodvibes

Did it finally stop raining on our FL peeps?!

Where's my puzzle!?:confused3

Hope the ear is feeling better, Sue Ellen. Being sick is no fun.

And Ann, I hope that rain finally stops for you guys. Yikes! Like we always say when we get a lot of rain...imagine if that was snow???? As bad as our storms are I dont think we have ever had 30 ft of snow in 1 dumping (they say every inch of rain is a foot of snow).

This is a nice weekend for us to chill. It is perfect weather here today, sunny and mid 80s. I dont think we have had a Saturday like this all summer. So, that made it a mandatory, Mudslides by the pool day. :drinking1 And the bonus is...none of the other kids in the neighborhood are around today. :cool1:

This morning we picked up Colts new soccer uniform...ummm, lets just say I got a new pair of running shorts out of it. Yeah, its a bit big for him. We also got their schedules. 3 out of 9 games overlap times...at 2 different fields. UGH! But since DH coaches Colt, I miss those and go to Cams. Opening day is 9/6!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekends!

OK girlies....found my TS stuff on the front porch awhile ago...just starting to go thru it & check stuff off the checklist (Mr. FED EX must've been hungry...one of the boxes was open! Need to make sure everything is there!) ANYWAY...was just flippling thru the Fall / Winter catalog...they have a Chocolatini Drink Mix that you just add water & vodka to and freeze (it's a chocolate almond frozen martini) and there's a "Blushing Cosmo" - same deal - you add water & vodka & freeze it...but I am diggin' the picture of this Chocolatini thing!:rotfl2: It looks like it would go well with the Truffle Fudge Brownie Mix!:rotfl: Yummm....

is there a "chocolate thingy" w/o the almond?

This will be a new Fall / Winter product available Sept. 8 so it's not on the website yet. The drink mix is called "Chocolatini Drink Mix" but the description says "chocolate almond frozen martini" so I guess it's not available w/o the hint of almond flavor. :sad2: It LOOKS yummy tho...like a slushy in a martini glass.:thumbsup2 There will also be an English Toffee Mocha drink mix (served warm) and of course the "Oh My! Chai" tea is still available.

This is linked thru my sponsor's site - here is what's available now (thru Sept. 7). There is Mango Breeze Margarita, Prickly Pear Cooler, Samba Sangria Slush Mix, Orange Dream Chiller and Vanilla Bean Chiller:

ooohhhh Prickly Pear Margaritas are good!!

Might have to check out the "Cooler".

I sampled the Prickly Pear Cooler at that party that I shadowed last month. It was good but it was made non-alcoholic for tasting purposes - I could see a dab of vodka making that REALLY good!:rotfl:

I can't believe I didn't think about the fact that I should set up a separate bank account for this venture. So I set up a yahoo email acct. for it yesterday & transferred over all of my contacts that I will want to have in it and then went to go set up my website and realized that I have to tie it into my bank account with the routing number etc. SO-O, I didn't finish the website thing yet - I will need to go to the bank on Monday first and get that squared away THEN come home & set up the website.:headache: I will post the website info. of course as soon as I am "up & running"!! I want to get done so I can also blast out an email notice to everyone too 'cuz their Spring / Summer stuff ends on Sept. 7 and then the Fall / Winter stuff comes out on Sept. 8. So stuff like the Prickly Pear Cooler is only available thru Sept. 7. ALSO, some prices are going up on the 8th with the new fall line - like on Nana's Apple Cake, Absolutely Almond Pound Cake, Cinnamon Muffin Melts, Truffle Fudge Brownies, the Beer Bread (reg. and wheat) and "Warm the Oven! Savory Cheese Dip"!! So I want to let people know if they want any of those items they should order them by the 7th!!:goodvibes I am not patient enough for all this procedure!!!!:rotfl2:

I stink. I need a shower. Then I need to go to the grocery store to pick up a few items for this dish I am taking to the neighbors cookout this afternoon. Oh, and I need to make that bucket full of water balloons. Since I always make such a mess with those maybe I should do those first.:confused3 At one point a LONG time ago Tastefully Simple had this sauce mix called Asian Zen. VERY tasty...we loved it. So when they discontinued it I bought all of it that my consultant had on hand!:rotfl: I am still using it but am down to like my last 4 packs. It was a dry mix that you add olive oil & water to - so it's a little hard now but I just kneed it a little in the package before I open it.:rolleyes1 I put it on either Rice Noodles or Angel Hair pasta with some spring onion, a dab of cilantro, red pepper strips and asparagus tips and then chill it.:thumbsup2 Sometimes I add some shrimp but I won't today 'cuz it will be sitting out for awhile. Anyway, I should "get with it".

OK, I absolutely suck at making water balloons!:rotfl2: OMG. Every 3rd one or so "got away from me" while I was trying to tie it!:lmao: The kitchen counters, cabinets, the kitchen window and myself all got hosed down on SEVERAL occasions. They just squirt right out of my hands when I'm trying to tie them and they flip flop & dance and spin and spray in circles! I DID NOT take a direct hit in the face this time tho as I have been known to do in the past!:lmao: I have learned to just wait until I'm done and then put the kitchen rug outside to dry and to take towels and wipe up the mess.:headache: I bow down to any of you who can accomplish this feat without drowning everything in sight!:worship: It amuses DH to watch me from across the room!

Annie - you have to have DH rig a pvc pipe/irrigation drip hose attachment for the outside faucet silly. Makes filling your water balloons really easy!!

But at least you killed 2 birds with 1 stone - you handled the water balloons and taking a shower!:thumbsup2 Multi-tasking at its best. Nice job!!

Have a fun BBQ.

yup, outside is the way to go - sounds like something that should have been video taped though

Can't wait to get the whole low down from RJ on the whole "drop Bob off at Build-Your-Own-Spacehship University" They drive home today. I've been keeping tabs on Kimmy like a good Auntie Phyllis doncha know - well as well as I can from a few hundred miles away and mostly thru Dougie ("how's Johnnie?" "fine" such communicators hose teens are)

Off to Grandma's 80th birthday party at Mom's. I've gained 10 pounds since vacation and Mom is making Boston cream pie so what's another pound or two

Question: how does this DIS WISH thing work? I just put in the picture of how many pounds I want gone and it goes? Like if I display the WISH 20 pounds in my signature, it will go away? :3dglasses

Yes that is my understanding. But apparently there is a waitlist because there seems to be some sort of time delay??:confused3

Have fun at Birthday Party. Have some BCP for me. Glad you are keeping tabs on Johnnie. I have been keeping tabs on the RJ & Beano. Last night they reported all is well. Driving home today.:thumbsup2

Everyone keep fingers crossed. Stymie is in interested discussions with Gallo Wines.:worship:

Have some BCP for me.

like Ortho Novum?? When I see BCP that is what I think about!:lmao:

Croutons are in the Mojave dessert and RJ is trying not to cry!!

I am waiting for the Baked Ziti and Cherry pie to quit baking!!

Um...nope. Too old for that kind of BCP. Boston Cream Pie silly.

I have to go cut me up a chicken. Gonna try another new recipe. Stymie is afraid.:lmao:

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Bets how bad is the water damage??

drywall is dry..had carpet cleaned yesterday..poured rain today but no water inside..it was the driving rain that caused it to come in the roof screw holes...will have to have one of the crews from work come and recaulk me thinks

wicked pissah!!
