What's this??? Page 3!!! Nobody's posted here for 2 days!

OK, so got my boy back today! He survived... said he was cold...he was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a fleece, his windbreaker AND his lined raincoat!! OH, and he was stinky FILTHY!! He didn't shower AT ALL...said he was afraid of what they would do to him / to his stuff while he was in there. Apparently he saw them mess with someone else while they were showering.... So first thing first when he got home was a shower!! NOW that he smells good he's my baby again! I think has mixed emotions about the whole experience. I think he enjoyed the "classes" like when they played Predator and Prey (he was an herbivore and he survived without being eaten by the carnivores & stuff) but he was a bit lonely I think. So. Oh well. It's done. Over. And he's glad to be home!

So. Cold, DREARY, rainy day here in our Nations Capitol...I'm sleeeeepy....feelin' like I need a nap! Wonder if my boys would miss me if I disappeared back to bed for awhile?!

i am making pulled pork bbq..thanks to RJ who clued me in about the slow cooker meal...OMG! SOOOOOO good!
I put a boston butt (haha) in the crockpot when I left for church this morning and it just fell apart...oh..smells so good!

LOL...RJ got all of us in the mood for pulled pork 'eh? I found a sale on pork roasts a couple days ago (finally) and got one to cook today too! Well, mine's just a plain old boneless pork roast....but I put my Dinosaur Red Rub on it this morning and put it in the crockpot too! After it cooks dry with just the rub for a few hours I usually pour a beer on it but this time I put some of this stuff called "Hog Wash" (vinegar, cayenne pepper & spices). I'll shred it later, just b4 dinner and put some BBQ sauce on it. I got some big 'ole buns and stuff to make coleslaw to put on top! God is good with some coleslaw on it!! Insert lip smakin' SLURPY smiley here!!

i made slaw too! I use broccoli slaw, so it isn't cabbage..and Target had a clearance on deep fryers today, so I got that and going to make french fries too..hurry dinner time, hurry!

Great minds think alike Betsy! I am also planning french fries but I just use the Ore-Ida frozen extra crispy ones & put them in the oven with some season salt. I use the T. Marzetti's slaw dressing (YUMMMY!) But back to this clearance on deep fryers...what kind? I haven't looked at their ad yet for this week... Like I NEED a deep fryer now! I would LOVE deep fried onion rings!

T-fal..it isn't the real fancy one that you can take out the pot..but I don't fry a heck of a lot so that is ok..I wanted it for the few times we have fries or chicken wings..oh!! they make great chicken wings!

OK, so I am in charge of Cas's spring party one week from this Friday (the 27th, I believe). Silly string was mentioned as something fun for 10-11 year olds. How can I turn that into some sort of game. There are 30 kids.

We will have a gunny sack relay race, scooter soccer/or/relay, doughnuts on a string and possibly a water balloon toss.

Helpme with some idears if'n you please!

can you set some rings up..smaller than a hula hoop that they have to shoot the silly string in? like darts but with silly strings? Make them stand back so far and shoot into the middle?

I pretty much only know drinking games! Lots of dice games!

Do u watch Ellen ever??? She plays blindfolded musical chairs on her show....that could be funny.....you could do 10 or 12 kids at a pop maybe?! She does a lot of blindfold games....I'm sure you get get some pretty messy games going with that....Hummm....Blindfolded Silly String Wars??
