Leetle pirate is officially walking!!

'Cuz she knows she is goin' on a cruise & she wants to impress all the peeps with her new tricks!

Drug out all the camping supplies into the finished side of the basement to go thru everything on my "official camping list" & make sure everything is still intact (we had rummaged thru stuff here & there...) Checked the flashlights & lanterns. Loaded 8 'D' batteries into the portable fan (what brilliant man designed battery compartments to be so-o hard to get that last battery in?!) Cold drink cups...hot drink cups...plastic silverware....BEER...limes.

I think on Friday I am going to mix up a batch of choc. chip pancake batter to take for breakfasts and I will make some guacamole & we can just have guacamole burgers for one meal....

Gotta go to the store now...need some Hershey bars, marshmallows & graham crackers to make Smores! Important things on the list ya know...

Just got an email from my wedding coordinator!!! The photographer package that was $399 is now $174.95!!! (why not 175?). I just couldn't bring myself to spend $400 for a photographer when so many peeps have professional cameras, but now...I am taking this if for no other reason to get photos in some of the areas that are "off limits" to other guest!

So I went out running errands all afternoon. It was really a bizarre trip. All restaurants are closed so a lot of empty parking lots. I started out by going to the one grocery store in the whole county that can sell beer & wine to get beer. It's a warehouse so a lot of stuff is just a tad cheaper there (EX - limes..they're 20 for $2 at this store but at my reg. store they are usually 2 for $1)! Since I wasn't going straight home I took a small cooler & bought some stuff for this weekend too. They were re-stocking the empty water aisle when I was there so I bought 6 gal. jugs + 1 case of Dasani (the only other water they had left). Then I went to Target to get litter and a couple RX's filled & pick up a couple other things. (They only had flavored waters.) We have a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks inside my Target - they were both closed. Then I went to my reg. grocery store to finish up...VERY weird. The salad bar was closed, the deli counter, the bakery, the fish counter AND the meat dept.!! Any place that uses water is closed!! I was really glad that I went shopping today 'cuz they DID still have some of the pre-packaged hamburger patties left - which I wanted to take this weekend. But basically they only had the pre-packaged meats and chicken (like Perdue). The rest of the meat cases were empty!! Now they're saying they will re-test the water tomorrow evening and won't know until then if it's safe! In the meantime - everything is shut down!

It was also weird 'cuz I found graham crackers at the first store...but no Hershey bars or marshmallows...then I found the Hershey bars at Target. Finally, got the marshmallows at my last stop. These had better be some good Smores 'eh?!

Why wouldn't pre-made pancake batter cut it? What's the diff. if I mix it up before I go or if I mix it there? It avoids having to pack / take other ingredients (like the 2 TBS of oil that this particular stuff uses). I call that thinking ahead. I sorta like the idea that all's I gotta do is pour the stuff out onto the griddle whilst the sausages cook!
