Oh, is she in Cambridge now? Alewife is in there(red line). Where/when did she live in Woburn?

Well, I think they officially just called it the 4th wettest May on record in DC! I am so tired of the cold & rain. I am sitting here with a freaking fleece blanket on my lap!:lmao: I am SUCH an old lady!:rotfl: The forecast for the weekend is looking like 70's MAYBE 80 by Sun-Mon!:woohoo: I cannot WAIT!

Getting ready to take DS back over to the school for the evening Science Fair hours. But we're not staying too long - need to rush home & eat some leftovers by 6:30 so we can leave for the pool by 7:00. This is the last week of swimming!

Then finally can come home to watch AI....votin' for my boy Cook!:thumbsup2

Still no opinion from DH about the flight thing. :sad2: I called Air Tran - they still have 20 seats available on the 3:00 flight.... GRRRRR.... I am just not happy with them right now.

:cheer2: congrats to MattBob!!:cheer2:

Anyone buy travel insurance not through Disney?? I kinda forgot and now I am comparing policies. Going during hurricane season technically I think.

Annie you make me tired.

And let's not be discussing the cost of college. While mine is only 8 I cannot fathom this discussion in 9 years. :scared1: :scared: Community College is good right!?

I had to buy insurance for my mom because somehow it got left off her reservation...I just went with Access America who writes Disney's...SueEllen gave me the link

Hi Everybody,

Been a while since I have posted, been very busy working to save money for the Peeps cruise, and busy with baseball for Tyler and keeping Sean Patrick busy.

We finally got our plane tickets for our flight down to the cruise and I think we got a great deal, $976.00 for all of us on Jetblue, we leave here on July,19 at 3:30pm and get into Orlando at 6:15pm, so we wont be down to Port Canaveral until I would say 8:00pm. So we might not make it over to the Radisson party, but will be well rested for the Peeps party on the ship....

Eureka!:cool1: Betsy again came to the rescue and for what ever reason I can now get on, but this has been off and on all week. I finally e-mailed her it was way too frustrating for this old women so just forget it, but she called me and between us (mostly her) it is now working again:banana:
Today was a record high for this day 96. We had 96 a couple of days already this month. I can't remember in all the 40+ years I have lived here that it was this hot this early. I came out of the hospital this afternoon after doing my volunteer work (5:00pm) and it took my breath away. The wind was blowing but it was like an oven door open with a fan blowing. They didn't mention the Everglades fires in the 6:00 news so maybe they are about contained.
Tomorrow is DSIL-Rick's birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY Rick:cheer2:

:flower3: Hi Anne. I've been thinking about you and wondering jow the fires might be effecting you and Bets and everyone. Just thinking about "wild" fires makes me nervous. Hope they get a handle on them all soon.

Johnna- I've been comparing travel insurance policies thru insuremytripdotcom. There are so many little differnce that it' had to tell what is best. The policy that allows for "cancellation for no reason" is approx $1200! Let me know what youd decide. I need to make up my mind.

Sean- you are staying next door with Besty, right? (well, not WITH Bets. Rick might have a problem with that...).

Cough, sputter, cough, sputter. I woke Sat. morning about 3:00 coughing and I could smell the smoke even with the a/c on. It is better today because Miami-Dade had rain yesterday. They didn't mention the fires on the 6:00 news so they must be fairly well contained. Thanks for asking

That is the website I am using also. Thinking I am going with AIG Travel Guard w/o the "cancellation for no reason" clause. It would have to be a pretty darned good reason for me to cancel at this point. Will have to get a current quote my pages are at least 2 weeks old.

OK - going to find something for dinner...

 That's 'cuz you're up in that penthouse! :goodvibes I think we paid about $150 to insure our DVC points and like maybe $135ish for the 3 n insurance direct thru Disney. Neither covers our flights - but that's almost an incidental cost compared to the value of the cruises. We did not insure the 3 n at AKV. For some reason I have never insured those vacations.:confused3 I insure our trips to Hawaii. Hummmmmmmmmm. Wonder what my logic is on that one?:confused3 :rolleyes1

DH finally said to go ahead & switch to the 3:00 flight so we wouldn't be rushing & freaking out about making the 11:44 one...so CamColt - we can hurry up & be the last ones off the ship and it looks like ya got a date at a bar at MCO pre-flight! I will call them back tomorrow to make the switch.

OK, off to watch AI......

I know its easier for me to say this because I am within driving distance of the port but the risk of hurricanes in July is a lot less than later in the season. Yes, they can happen but the likelyhood of hurricane arrival is much greater later in the season.

I just looked up the history of hurricanes and the season really starts in late August but a few have hit in June over the 100 years of history.

I don't know if I am helping at all.:confused3

The smoke is annoying but I think the heat is more annoying. It is like a sauna as soon as you walk outside. :scared1:

ok, no hurricanes 'cuz tzm says so. I go for dat. :upsidedow

Annie - I plugged in the total price. If we cancel, I'd want as much of the $ back as possible. The flights were pricey, the Beach Club too. I'm going to check out USAA and Costco. (Like Gertrude, it would have to be pretty major to cancel. However, if Chris's knee went out, that wouldn't be covered as he has documented trouble with it. )

smoke iz no good. Hope it's not too bad where you are. Can you smell it? When SD was burning we smelled it way before we saw smoke or flames.

Yeah, we can smell it. It isn't awful yet but it could get there. The fires are a little bigger today I think.

Slap him in a wheelchair and push him to the Heads Up. He'll be fine.

Yeah! What she said! Just make sure it has a cup holder! Hand him a beer in a cozie...cosey...cosie (sp) and strap him in!

I don't think either the DVC insurance or the DCL insurance offered options for insuring the cost of our flights. :ssst: :confused3 I could not insure the 4 n cruise we booked on points tho w/o going thru the DVC insurance. Nobody else would let me assign a cash value to it.:headache: But when I DID try to find insurance elsewhere I included the flights. It just worked out to be easier to go thru DCL for the 2nd cruise. I am also one that's hoping July will be a calm month at sea!:goodvibes

:rockband: Well, it's almost 11:00 and I'm still getting alternating results on my David Cook voting (busy, busy, get thru, get thru, busy). So that's a good sign I think. I think Simon really slammed him so I am doing my part as a fan. Although the other kid is good I don't like him and don't want him to win. He's just too sappy...too "gosh, golly gee".

:lmao: :lmao:

I second that notion. I am sure we can sufficiently medicate the man so the knee won't be a problem.:thumbsup2 He may even forget he has knees!!:hippie:

TZM - thanks for the hurricane info. I know I looked at those charts when we booked before for Oct. 2005 - should have pulled the info up again. And though TZM says there will be no hurricane I think I will feel better with insurance. No offense to TZM of course.

VMK closes tomorrow - everyone please observe a moment of silence for Gertrude, Stymie and DD - we will be sad. As geeky as that makes us. That game is really a lot of fun.

Welp time is up here Leetle one is screaming.
