I hear ya! My original goal in the beginning of the year was 16 lbs before the cruise. Need I say more? Between going away, and one leg hurting after the next, putting a damper on my running, there is no way that will happen. As of now Im down 7...not even close!

Thats what Im dreading about Easter...all the eating (not that I havent started while Ive been cooking all day...meatballs, sauce, eggplant parm...). but I count my weight as of Saturday, so Ill have a week to work it off.

And YUMMM Buca de Beppo! They have this shrimp & scallop orzo dish that is fantastic. I sometimes try to duplicate it at home whenever I catch shrimp on sale - DS loves it! Happy Birthday Betsy's Mama!!

LOVE Kate's dress! She will be gorgeous! It's so grown up looking!

Just got home from visiting with DH's Grandma. So sad. There were so many people over there. Poor thing. She's got this tiny little condo & the hospital bed in this like 10x10 living room and there were like a doz. people there...

Colored our Easter eggs this afternoon...put the basket together....now to get DS in bed at a reasonable hour so that darned rabbit can do his thing!

Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you are all having a good day. We started out with the Easter Bunny's chocolate egg hunt this morning and went to church. Now Im catching up on work and getting some laundry done before we head to my parents for the family thing.

Chocolate Easter Egg hunt 'eh? We colored a doz. yesterday & hid them last nite after DS was in bed. He ran thru the house like a madman this morning hunting them. Our one cat, Woody, was very intrigued with them this year. He kept hunting them out and would crouch down like he was going to attack them. He pawed at some of them like he wanted to roll them (most of them were put inside things so he couldn't turn them into balls tho)! It was funny. He was obsessed.

We are heathens - no church for us. DH is planning to go over to his Mom's house at some point today to take down her screen door. It's broken & is hanging off the hinge so he'd promised her he'd help out. She will probably spend a lot of her day over at Grandma's anyway. Her sister who lives in FL came up to stay with Grandma. But so I am planning to make Easter dinner for dinner, not lunch just 'cuz there's other stuff going on. Just easier to plan that way. Typical fare...spiral sliced ham, homemade mac & cheese, pickled eggs & beets (for me), deviled eggs (for DH & DS) & fresh asparagus. I got stuff to make the green bean casserole too but I'll make that this week to go with the leftovers that we will eat on all week. No need to have the green beans today for just the 3 of us. I forgot to get rolls tho. Oh well.

I told DH last nite about the car rental VS the town car service. He kinda also likes the car service idea for the door to door service. He is afraid we will get lost! I like that we can arrange to have an order ready for pick-up at this Albertson's place (we can probably get your Kahlua too!) Katie - how are you guys planning to go from WDW to the port? Are you taking the DCL bus or a car service? I also told him about my idea of re-booking another cruise while onboard...he just looked at me. I mean I HAVE a cruise fund started for the next cruise - it's just on hold for now...but we could pay the deposit from that...provided we don't NEED it for the mortgage before then! Maybe that's why he gave me that LOOK?! (Nevermind that Dan Snyder wants the payment for his freaking Redskins tickets & parking for NEXT year by March 31 and DH still hasn't collected any money from his buddies that go with him yet! That's like $2,700 or something crazy!)

Are there menus posted somewhere for Jiko? I was looking at the park hours etc. & I told DH it's time to make dinner ressies for either Boma or Jiko. I want to try Jiko but am afraid I will miss Boma! Epcot is open late on Thurs & Magic Kingdom is open late on Fri. nite so I am sure we will do both of those...and Animal Kingdom opens early on Sat.... Anyway, looks like Sat. nite is the only nite we would plan an ADR....I am not trying to copy you Katie, 'cuz I know you're doing Jiko on Sat. nite but I was also thinking we could try Jiko on Sat nite and then do Boma on Sun. morning for breakfast before heading out for the port?! I am just afraid I will miss dinner at Boma. It's so good. And it may be too late to get into Jiko by now...I would like to see the menu at Jiko... I may call them today...

Happy Easter. We are a DVC family of 5 with 3 DS - 17, 9, 6. We are also going with my IL who is paying for this trip for my 17yo who will turn 18 on the Sunday after we disembark. This is 17yo HS grad celebration. He will be going to college in the fall. I am signing up to see whose other kids are the same age as my boys. Am I on the right link? Anybody doing the FE? I'm terribly embarrased if I am on the wrong link.

Hello! Welcome aboard! If you are going on the July 20th 4 day or the July 24th 3 day, you are in the right spot. Some of the folks in this crazy group of people are going both of those cruises. I think that all of us can help you plan for your cruise if you have questions. I have been on 8 Disney Cruises with these two being 9 and 10. So, I might have some suggestions. Many of us know eachother from past cruises, vacations, and living close.

I don't know what you are referring to when you mention FE so I don't know if we are...

Ahoy MMCD! Welcome aboard and Happy Easter to you too! Good to see someone else signing up! I also don't know what FE means / is?!

I am anal retentive, stubborn and I ramble a LOT but I'm basically harmless! It is myself (soon to be 47), DH (38) and one DS who will be 11 on the cruise! We are also doing back to backs...orig. only had the 4 n one booked (on DVC points) and then after I got recruited to this thread and told DH that there were peeps doing back to backs we thought what a great idea & booked the 3 n one in the same cabin on a cash ressie. Our one & only other DCL cruise was the Mexican Riviera one back in '05. We knew we didn't want to do the same one again so that's how we ended up on the Wonder!

Other boys...CamColt will chime in shortly I'm sure...she has 2 boys...I think Cam will also be 11 and then Colt is a little younger...I forget exactly - 8 or 9 maybe?! And Sue Ellen has Trevor...I think he's also maybe 8 or 9?! OK and Sean & Linda (TiggerandPooh) have 2 younger boys... Older boys...ummm RJ & Beano have "Bob" who is graduating this spring as well and Cheri has a teenage boy as well. Nobody ever goes by their right names on here so I can never keep everybody straight.... But if you want boys, we got some for ya!



TZM - thanks for that link to Jiko! When I called the dining # the girl only listed 5 entrees! I am SO-O indecisive! I just called & made like 5 ressies to cover all my bases! Will have to cancel some. Just don't know what we'll decide to do...made one for Rose & Crown at Epcot @ 8:00 on Thurs. nite - THAT one is least likely to keep as they won't guarantee outside seating and I'm not sure I'm dying for that menu.... Then also made one at Mama Melrose @ 5:10 on Thurs. nite should we decide we'd rather see Fantasmic than Illuminations! None for Fri as that will be MK day & we'll just wing it. Then made one at both Jiko and at Boma for Sat. nite in the 8:00ish timeframe and then at Boma for breakfast at 8:45! Gotta stretch that stomach out for the cruises! I want to try Jiko but am worried the menu will be too small for my little mind to grasp! I need choices and I need condiments!

Oh Duh! Soccermom-Cheri and Tinkryansmom are working on Fish Extenders! They have been very secretive of their work! Some of us are also working on door signs!

The email notification thingy has been working on & off for the past couple of months - the DIS got new servers and nothing's worked quite right ever since! Every time I open this thread I land on page 28 where CamColt was telling me how she went to see Boston back in the 80's or something! So I keep reliving the 80's like Groundhog Day or something!

I'll be working on a door sign also. I need the boys to work on that since they are more computer savy than me. Or really more creative than me. We just moved to a new house. I am trying to sew/hem the curtains that I had from my previous house. I will be sewing my fish extender after that.

DS 9 is going to be 10 during the trip. We will be going to Tampa after we disembark. Then we head back to WDW at BCV on the 27 for 5 nights. Anybody heading to WDW after their back to back?

I haven't heard anybody talking about going to WDW after their cruises - but that doesn't mean none of them are!? We are going to AKV for 3 n beginning on Thurs 7/17 (so is CamColt). I don't know if anybody else is going to WDW pre-cruise either. They haven't really said. Then the first cruise starts 7/20. We fly home on the 27th right after the 2nd cruise.

we are heading to wdw after the cruise it will be me(31),dw(32),ds(10),ds(3), we will probably be staying at the villas at wilderness as we are dvc members also

I'm Katie (36) and will be traveling with DH, Peter (turning 40 on the cruise), and as Annie said, DSs Cam 11 and Colt 8. We will be at the AKL pre cruise, but heading home post cruise.

That is funny Annie....copying us for dinner on Saturday! Hmmm! We will probably just do something light for breakfast on Sunday since we will want to be out of there, and want to be hungry for the buffet. I believe we are going to take FL Tours from the hotel to the port and port back to the AP. Doing ME from the AP to AKL. I should probably start to set that car up soon.
