Yup, you said you wanted to skip the cruise and go to Kenya on a safari, right? (gonna make it a little hard to deliver fishy gifts though) - I have faith in you, oh shopping one.

Morning ya'll....we're in for a few dreary days here....glad I worked outside yesterday afternoon. ALMOST done now with the mulching! Only 2 trees and about 10' in one bed out front to go! I would've finished out front except I had to stop & come in for a shower...it was DH's step brother's birthday and since everyone is in town for Grandma's funeral next week we met everyone for dinner. Hopefully next week I'll be able to get finished. Then it will be time to go back to the beginning to start weeding again!

Good afternoon Peeps! Hope everyone's having a lovely Sunday!

For the Croutons & Knebels...

Those pics look so sunny & warm, dont they? Its freezing here. Ok, not literally freezing, but Id say in the 50s...brrr. Its damp and raw too.

So, Im another step closer to the trip. I just booked FL Tours for our WDW-Port and Port-AP transfers. :thumbsup2

Also, I think Ive decided what to get for our FE gifts...just have to order them and its too early yet. :thumbsup2

Im in good shape for this trip now. My big concern now is Im having second thoughts about bringing the kids to Jiko. it looks like they dont have hot dogs on the menu any more which will be tough for Colt.

I have to tell you that Jiko has some pretty good food. The names might sound fancy but they have ribs, steak, chicken, pork chops, etc. Also, just because its not on the menu doesnt mean that they cant get it for you. You can always ask.

Katie- PM Anna (CACruisin'). She just ate over at AK last March before her Wonder cruise. She has 3 girls and could tell you if her kids would have eaten there.

Cas and I went to the street fair yesterday - I am such a sucker for it. Good thing it only comes twice a year. and, heck it's not like we could go to the beach - I bought the BEST FE gift. Get it home and wouldn't you know it's too heavy. Poor leetle fishies would be pulled right off the ribbons. Stoopid Cheri.

So lesson learned: no heavy fishie gifties.

Thanks for the info everyone. I know we will be fine and Cam will find something, but Colt basically eats hot dogs and plain pasta. Im hoping worst case we can get some mac & cheese without the cheese. ;)

Question for you all...who put together our peeps logo that we all have on our siggies?

I agree CamColt - it feels freezing cold here too! It's that inbetween temp where neither the furnace nor the AC will run. So the house is just cold.:cold:

I am thinking about packing already! Since I bought my dress for Palo like 7 months ago I tried it on again just to refresh my memory bank. Even tho my new tan line is barely there it was enough to make me think I need to find a bathing suit that goes straight across on the top as the tan line might be too obvious. :confused3 Or should I care? Then I tried on another dress I was thinking about bringing for the "dress up night" on the 3 nighter. Will you all be getting that dressed up for that one or will you still be on the casual side? What about for DS? Should I bring him a dress shirt & tie? CamColt - how dressy will you do your guys for that one?! I don't have to worry about what DS wears for the dressy night on the 4 n as we're doing Palo & will just let him eat with the club or take him up to the buffet or order room service or whatever. But just wondered about that last night?!

I can't wait to eat at AK this summer. Being so indecisive tho I made ressies at both Jiko & Boma until I can decide. Boma would be cheaper and they have the kids fare. But then I also made ressies there for breakfast that last morning....

RJ / Cheri - when are you guys going to FL? Are you doing a whole week there first?

I still need to reserve our transportation from MCO to WDW and then from WDW to the port. I'm torn about what to do 'cuz the Magic Express bus is free but I WANT BEER & BOOZE and if we take a car service on Sun. we can't get it until NOON.:confused3 So QUESTION: if we leave WDW at 10:00 and get to the port around 11:00 what time will we really be allowed on the ship? Will it make that much of a difference? I mean, if we don't leave WDW until say 11:00 and ask if they will stop JUST BEFORE the port somewhere and we get there at like 12:30 will it be a huge difference in getting on the ship?! Will we miss anything? I made that breakfast ressie for 8:35 but it could be later if we weren't rushing... The price I got from Happy Limo for a town car was $67 + tip for the MCO to WDW portion and $119 + tip for WDW to the port. How do those prices sound?! Should I just "go for it"?!

DH put the memorial program together today for his family so he just went over to his Mom's to deliver that stuff to her...think he's bringing Goat home for dinner.:goodvibes

Speaking of buying booze....

Did DCL ever clarify if you can carry on or pack up your alcohol, soda, water, etc?

In a carryon? Soft-sided cooler? What do we know??

Hey SE!
when are our pmts due for BCVs? I wrote down the 4/28th but that's in a few days and seems early. (I would log on to the DU site - if I could find my reservation #). Thanks!

Final due by May 29th Cheri.

Johnna, you can carry on alcohol/water/etc. in a carry on bag, and you can only take soft sided coolers on board (not hard side.)

Pics of Tara and the gang for prom are coming shortly :)

Annie, from what I have seen, people dont really go all out for dress up night. Figure its a step below semi formal night. I'm one of those who like to get dressed up, but the boys not so much. They will probably have mostly khakis and polo or button down shirts for the dinners, with the nicest of what they have for dress up nights. I dont expect any jackets or ties for them.

And I will warn everyone now...we will probalby be rewearing things, LOL! With all the PITA rules about luggage weight and extra bags, etc...Im brining as little as possible.

 :scared1: :scared:

:lmao: ;)

Me too!:thumbsup2 Packing lightly that is my motto. I think I am about ready to start packing right now!:thumbsup2

:rolleyes1 Doin' the 'ole mix & match thing 'eh?!:rotfl: That's OK. I debated that idea...but just as soon as I make such a plan I'll spill something on myself on the first go 'round and I ain't doin' laundry!:goodvibes But so if I bring a dress for the last night will I be the only one?! And here I thought between Palo, this dress for the last night and Pirate Night I had a dress plan for 3 of the 7 nights! Well, for myself anyway.:rotfl:

I was thinking that if I could get each of us in one duffle bag each + maybe the garment bag and 1 or 2 carry-ons I'd be doing pretty good. Plus then use my extra duffle that I bring for the return trip as my hamper....wouldn't ya like to be the TSA person who hits the hamper bag jackpot!?:rotfl2:

Johnna,
I am planning on closing the next 31 show at the end of the month if you want to add something to the order. I have another open on the event page (under Tara's name) so just let me know.

I bought a soft side cooler that folds very flat that is supposed to hold like 48 cans I think...but it doesn't have wheels...but of course that's why it folds FLAT. So, do they only allow 1 carry-on bag per person? Trying to figure out if we can carry-on 2 REAL suitcase carry-ons (1 for the toiletry stuff you're supposed to use them for and 1 for booze & water), this little cooler (for beer), DH's laptop AND DS's backpack (plus of coure my purse which is the size of a small tote bag)?!?!?!?!?
