We went to the Celtics game last night. They broke their winning streak. :sad2:
Today we just bought ....(in my best Price is Right impersonation)...A NEW CAR! I cant believe we did this. We had been going back and forth for months and we finally bit the bullet and did it. We should get it Wednesday night. But we were stuck waiting for all the paper work forever so the whole thing took over 3 hours. Now I am so backed up and swamped with work. :headache: Everything I touch this week seems to turn into a problem.

We got a Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5 S with SL Package (yes I had to go copy that off the site, LOL!). We went with the dark slate color. I liked the looks of the green on line, but in person its totally different....not my cup of tea.

EXCITING! Very cool :thumbsup2 Nissan's, Toyota's & Honda's will run forever! Good choice! Anybody else remember before Nissan was Nissan they were Datsun's?! :rotfl2: I will never forget - my best friend in HS's Mom had a Datsun B210 Hatchback 5 speed & my BF ran the PISS outta that thing! I remember thinking we were going over the edge of the Skyline Drive hill and that nobody would ever find our bodies!:rotfl2: Anyway, congratulations!

Well, I cleaned a bit & did a leeetle bit of laundry this morning then went outside to work after lunch. OH MY ACHING BACK!:scared: Springtime hurts! It was nice (low 60's) so I figured I should get started. Had DH turn on the outside water and put down the crabgrass preventer stuff while I started in with edging the trees out front and mulching. I had gotten all of my perennial beds cut down except for 2 last fall so those needed to be done. They were 20' of solid MESS! Then I mulched those + one other one. Did a little more tree pruning. I make such a mess with that pruning sealer stuff!:rolleyes1 Finally cleaned up & came in around 6:30. So did about 4 1/2 hours of manual labor.

:rotfl2: good times, huh? ;)

We have always gotten Hondas(well, since we were married) because BIL works for Honda. It was always easy going in and getting the family discount, knowing we were getting the lowest price possible. This was our first real time having to go through the whole haggling process (we dont really speak to BIL any more).

And ummm...enough with the spring time talk...we woke up to snow here today. ;)

Why would you buy a Nissan when Tim-may could have gotten you a great deal on a Ford???!!!!

Did you even TEST DRIVE A FUSION???

Silly peepS!!!

someone help...he is holding a very big gun to my head!! help me...help!!

OMG!!! Sue Ellen, Peter and I are sitting here with teard running down our faces. Those are the best! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I know, Betsy. I like the Fusion...love the Mustangs. Also really like the Chrysler (I think its Chrysler) Sebring convertible. But, Peter has been brainwashed by BIL and wont go for American cars. I can't believe I got him away from the all sacred Honda. ;)

OK funny Nissan Altima story....

We bought a new car last Valentines day (thanks Tim!!) but DH test drove ALOT of cars to which I was very surprised - he hates shopping AND salesmen. He needed to decide to buy either a small commuter car or something a little nicer.

So...we went to Nissan (yes I remember Datsun too) and drove the new Sentra and the Altima. Well, for those of you who don't know, Nissan went to this keyless drive system where you have a key fob thingy like your unlock/alarm fobs most of our cars have. Except there is no key. So as long as you have this key fob thingy within 2 or 3 feet of the ignition the car will start when you press a button located on the dashboard. Supposedley a great idea for those who lose their keys or lock them in the car as this dohickey can just be attached to your purse (women) or belt loop (men). Course if you lose your purse I don't know what you do but I digress...

So, remember my DH is an engineer. Can figure most things out pretty handily. Anyhow...we are in the minty green Nissan Altima and the salesman is saying "just push that button" and DH is saying "Um yep, pushing button, nothing happening" salesman: "maybe you have to depress the brake pedal" DH: "yep did that" Salesman: "Ok then push the button and the car with start" DH: "yep pushing button, nothing happening" "Wow really liking where Nissan is going with this technology":scared: Johnna is thinking "easy Neil do not bash the salesman" and "good god man get this car to start or we are all going to die" "just push the button" "yep pushing the button".......

We switched to a car with normal keys. Apparently "the battery was dead".:headache:

We did not buy a Nissan.:lmao:

We do love our Volvo though.:thumbsup2 Except Neil just got a speeding ticket. That car goes really fast.

Sue Ellen - a couple of those were hysterical - I liked that one - getting rid of your husbands in a rummage sale! LOL...

:headache: So we let DS stay up a little late 'cuz it was Sat. We were watching a long movie on HBO in the basement. About midnight he comes back downstairs in tears. "Something happened to my bed" he says. :confused3 OK? Like? "A board fell off" he says. I was like "while you were SLEEPING or while you were JUMPING on it"? "I don't know" he says. OK, so up we go to check it out. The top of the mattress is angled down onto the floor. He has a platform bed with (3) 3/4" thick boards screwed in under the mattress - so we pick up the mattress & bedskirt and move it and sure enough. He'd broken the one up by the head of the bed in 1/2!!:headache: He was hysterical that he had to sleep in the floor last night. Looks like another trip to Home Depot today to get a replacement piece of something cut. But so, question - how would you punish this one?! Or do you let it go? It is fixable THIS TIME. I was like at least he didn't pull his ceiling fan down (he jumps at it sometimes to reach the pull chains & has been told MANY times not to do that).:confused3

Yikes! Lesson learned....dont' drink and type. :lmao:

That is too funny, Johnna. It was funny trying to figure out what we were doing. I picked up on "step on the brake" so whenever Peter was trying to do anything I'd say "step on the brake!" (like I know, what Im talking about). It will take some getting used to.

Yep. So does mine. I no gots one of those tickets yet, though. Just lucky I guess??

"There but for the grace of God go I"... at 140 MPH!! :lmao:

That sure is pretty, Beano!:thumbsup2 Some day I will own one. Guess I gotta dump DH first. :lmao:

After what he did today, I think I just might. He went to the grocery store, paid with debit card and got $100.00 cash back. Only the genius left the $100.00 sitting in the register. Of course no one turned it in when he went back to check. :headache: Ya know though, as much as I'd want to keep money that I found, there is no way I could just walk off with that much. I can't imagine not turning that in.

I think your DH and my DH are cousins!:lmao: I couldn't tell ya how many times mine has pulled stunts like that!:sad2:
