Survived Leetle Pirates birthday party. Getting ready to go shopping with my mom for a "few things"

Laundry is a given at this point.

Suitcases are not out but probably tonight.

FEs done. Door signs must be done by tomorrow night - so says Stymie. Apparently he remembers being up at like 2 am the night before our last cruise helping me print door signs and ironing shirts for sail away. Mind like a steel trap that one!

We fly on Friday!!

Yes, we are all traveling together. We fly out of LAX at 8:35 tuesday morning.
Meeting the Knebels at a hotel in L.A. tomorrow evening. Then we have to go stay at the Beach Club Villas for 4 days. Then there was some talk about a cruise or something like that. I dunno, probably just a rumor.

Croutons, 8 bags???? Must be the teenagers. Im lucky, Colton is tiny so his clothes dont take up much room. Plus having boys, they just wear sneakers and Im brining 1 pair of dress shoes and 1 pair of pool shoes for them each. Ive even gotten my shoes down to wearing 1 pair and bringing 5 more...I think.

when you turn it on, all you get is the grey apple and the swirly turny thing...that is all it does..i tried to stick the disk in and it does nothing and won't eject it

oh...and MORE good news..I stubbed my toe on the dog kennel and busted my toenail all the way down in the corner...I had managed to avoid being stepped on in the crowds Friday and Saturday without messing them up...then this happens.
I have a pedicure set up for Thursday night, but there isn't much to do with it...

RJ feels my pain on this one!!!!

Bets - you need to hold down the 'C' key to boot from the disk. If you feel like schlepping the darn thing all the way to the cruise, I will bring the software that may fix it. Let me put it this way: if this software won't fix it, nothing will.
But I'll give it a shot if y'ont me to!

i think i need to get a hardwire keyboard..i tried to start it in safe mode, but because the keyboard is wireless..I don't think it is connecting

Try changing the batteries in your keyboard.

I guess it's kind of a pain in the butt to bring it on the cruise, but if you do, there's a good chance I can feex it. Because, you know... I'm Beano.

no..i will just wait till we get home...I have my ipod loaded with the music for the VR..I just am worried about my music on there...can I transfer songs from my ipod on to a new mac?

Well if you're not going to bring it, I won't bring the repair software. But I have recovered a lot of crashed hard drives with it! Save you it can.

Well, storms started rolling thru around 5:00. The baseball game was supposed to be at 6:00. I am actually very relieved that it got cancelled...WAY too much to do....WAY too much on my mind! I got too many beeg piles peeps! They're not gonna all fit. Well, I don't think DS's will fit in his suitcase AND leave room in the top to use the garment section. I really didn't want to bring the garment bag as a carry-on. But might have to. OR else I don't keep all of us separated and I combine some of his stuff with me or DH. I prefer that we each have our own bag tho. I started ironing DS's stuff. Didn't get very far tho. I stopped to make dinner (one of those everything but the kitchen sink casseroles that we can eat on for the next 3 days). It is in the oven now. You cannot find our bed for the piles.

Betsy - sorry for the computer loss! That is all too fresh in my memory from mine crashing in March!!

Creighton's & Knebels - TRAVEL SAFELY tomorrow! How exciting - the first peeps are about to go! RJ - 2 checked bags EACH?! How many for shoes?! Don't let Sir Beano forget his wallet! OH, BTW...I liked the comment that said "we have to go stay at Beach Club Villas for 4 days"! Have to! Poor babies!

So, I am such a dope! Forever now Ive been saying that we are getting picked up at 9:30 on Sunday. I got my email from FLTours today and it says 9:00. I thought, Oh they have this wrong, let me look into this. So I got out my confirmation and lo and behold it says 9:00. WHY was I thinking 9:30??? Thank goodness they sent that email or I would have been the idiot showing up late. I used to be obsessively organized with my trips. I don't know what the heck is happening to me.

And thanks. Sad thing is, its times like this when you really get to talk and catch up with the family members you never see any more. My grandmother was one of 10 kids so there are a ton of us second cousins (the uncle who died had 11 grandkids right there). Most of us all grew up here in the same town, so we all knew each other growing up and would even hang out at times. But now we probably range in age from 20-40 so we hardly ever see each other any more. Not under good circumstances but still nice to see everyone and catch up.

My living room has become packing/ironing central with all the piles. My nieces watched my kids while I was at the wake so I warned them, dont mind my piles of clothes all over the place. Then I joked that if they want to see me freak out, mix all the piles up on me. That would put me over the edge.
