Dis-Dream Academy RP

Jordan, Havelock, Nancy, Matilda: They read until finishing.

Helena, Veronique, Hugo, Wade: They wrote until finishing and turned in the assignment

Parker: "Solar surfing? What's that? Sounds dangerous.."
Olivia: "It really ins't." She paused, realizing what she said wasn't entirely true. "Well, it isn't dangerous as long as you have someone around who knows what they're doing. It's basically like surfing with water except the energy from the sunlight is captured in a type of sail that powers the surfer so you can go around in the sky." Her last ride came to mind and she smiled. "It's really fun, I love it."

Abhilasha:She handed it to Miss. Adalaide.
OOC: Miss Karmichael

Adalaide: "Ok, so anyone finished with their writing assignment can pick up next week's. It's just to write the first chapter to a story of your choice, so it's more lenient, but it has to be more complex and longer, at least a page front and back. Pretty much for the rest of the year we'll be writing a mini-story along with other witing promts thrown in there. So pick it up and begin. it will be due next week." She saw some kids were finished reading the chapters already. "if you're done reading, pick up questions about the chapters." She continued online shoe shopping.

Underclassmen: Got their questions. All but Jordan, who had taken the class the year before, were surprised at the lack of engagement compared to their other teachers so far.

Upperclassmen: Got the next week's assignment. Veronique was particularly excited. Wade, not so much.

OOC: Well it did say in the sign up that she's really chill unlike some of the other teachers so it would make sense

OOC: Oh I didn't mean anything by it, I was just stating a fact. The only people wo were surprised were those who hadn't been to the school before (and our characters don't know anything on other characters' profiles!)

Parker: "It sounds interesting I suppose. I think I would enjoy spectating more than participating though."

Olivia: "It is pretty insane, if I hadn't grown up around it I'd probably rather watch too." Hearing the new assignment she felt a burst of anxiety then dread, what a sad story this would be, and picked it up. At least it's due next week.

Parker: He went and picked up the new assignment. Didn't sound too bad, plus it wasn't even due until next week. On his way back to his chair he slipped and fell face first. He stood up, brushed himself off and sat down. Ugh.

Helena: She saw him fall and get up. "You okay?"

Parker: "Yeah, I'm okay. Just wasn't paying attention. You know they say it takes skill to trip on air. Thanks."
Helena: "You're welcome. I used to fall all the time when I was learning to ice skate. Have you been here long or are you new? I'm Helena."

Parker: "I'm new. Names Parker. Nice to meet you." He shook her hand. "Do you still skate?"

Helena: She shook his hand. "Ah, so you really haven't been here and it's not just me not being observant. Nice to meet you then Parker. Yes, I'm a full-fledged figure skater now, though I don't really do many competitions."
