Carter: She raised an eyebrow. "No? Not offended at all."

Carter: She turned her attention to the new girl who had walked up. She decided to let Natalie handle this situation. "Natalie..."

Natalie: "Sorry, I would, but I think homeroom's going to end soon. What class are you going to next?"
Marci: "It doesn't end for 15 more minutes. And everyone's in the same classes I think." She checked her student handbook. "Yep, we're all in the same classes."

Carter: "Wow, she really wants to play." She stated, not breaking eye contact with Natalie and taking a tip of her iced coffee.
Natalie: "Uh... ok." She couldn't be rude to the girl- at least, not in the way Carter was. "What's your name?"

Matilda: She nodded, slowly coming down from the high anxiety point. She of course covered it up with her natural excited teen girl personality (and sometimes it wasn't a cover-up) but she also tended to walk on eggshells. She was experienced with super-villains, and most were not good like Megamind. And then of course there had been the times when organized criminals sometimes went after her to keep Roxanne from continuing to report on the story she was writing about them. So, she was a teenage girl, but had moments of being VERY afraid of everyone around her and of saying the wrong thing to the wrong person and evoking a reaction. "Okay," she said in a smaller voice.

Marina: Marina could tell that Matilda had been made anxious by Carter. It was incredibly visible for a moment, and she couldn't help but feel bad.

"Uh, Matilda, I like your outfit." She blurted out, desperate to get her attention.

Marci: "Um, you know what? I don't need to play if you're going to be rude. But my name is Marci."

Matilda: "Oh, um, thanks." He shook herself, short brown hair flopping. Se took a deep breath and smiled. "Thank you, um..." she added, not knowing the girl's name.

Natalie: Her face was getting hot from embarrassment. She didn't like confrontation. "No, no, no! Marci, it's fine. Where do you want to live when you grow up?"

Marina: "Marina. I'm Marina. It's nice to meet you."

Matilda: "It's nice to meet you too Marina."

Matilda: "Fourteen. I'm a freshman," she admitted a little embarrassedly, knowing the 'fish' remarks were probably coming.

Marci: "Um, Paris."

Natalie: "Paris, uh... China... um.. Carter, you're good with these things?"
Carter: "My creative well seems to have run dry." She rolled her eyes.
Natalie: Even she was taken aback by Carter's bluntness. She didn't really know what to say, so she was just quiet for a little bit.

Matilda: "That's nice."

Marina: "Yeah, it's fun here."
