Dis-Dream Academy RP

OOC: Sorry, I never saw this!

James: He stood up from the piano, stopping the warm ups. "Why are you yelling in my classroom? It's fine that you're late, but to be this disruptive in my first class? Not cool, guys. Just take your seats."
Carter: She literally got a headache from the crew who walked in. "Ohhh my god." She mumbled to herself.
Natalie: She gave Carter a small back rub to help her cope.
OOC: It's fine, they were included in my last post, so technically I kinda ignored it too, so I hope you don't mind if I ignore this response. I just was kinda amused when I wrote it so I thought may as well provide you with an entertained eyeroll or something.

OOC: Alright! Moving on.

James: "What do you think? One more warm up guys?" He suggested as he finished going up the scale on his "aaaaAAAAAAAAaaah" warm up. He started the next one. "If-I-Want-To-Join-The-Choir-I-Must-Learn-To-Sing-Much-Higher-LISTEN-TO-ME-SING-this-song, so-beautiful-and-now-that-I-Have-Joined-The-Choir-I-Have-Learned-To-Sing-Much-Higher-LISTEN-TO-ME-SING-this-song!"

Olivia: She smiled as she repeated the warm up. "If-I-Want-To-Join-The-Choir-I-Must-Learn-To-Sing-Much-Higher-LISTEN-TO-ME-SING-this-song, so-beautiful-and-now-that-I-Have-Joined-The-Choir-I-Have-Learned-To-Sing-Much-Higher-LISTEN-TO-ME-SING-this-song!"

Jacqui: She did the very interesting warm up. She could sing very high. The highest note she's ever hit was a high F sharp above the staff.

Everyone else: Also did the very interesting warm up.

Mine: They followed along, performing about the same as they had.

Atarsi:She did it quite easily even though her voice wasn't the highest she did it pretty well.

Cerulean:She was good at singing but her voice was actually a bit low she did the song.

James: "Alright, good job. Now comes the hard part. We need to assign voice parts. If everyone could please line up by the piano so we can start that?"

All characters: They went up to the piano.

Jacqui: Again, if she wasn't a soprano, the world would burn.

James: He took out a notepad and started writing. "What's your name?" he asked the first girl at the piano.

James: "Great. Jacqui, I'm going to slowly play the notes up the scale from... let's see... eh, roughly a middle "C". I need you to sing along with the notes, okay?"

James: "Great. Jacqui, I'm going to slowly play the notes up the scale from... let's see... eh, roughly a middle "C". I need you to sing along with the notes, okay?"
Jacqui: "Ok." She sang along, perfectly hitting the notes. Her range was pretty good, but she was most comfortable as a soprano, so again, if she isn't a soprano, the world will burn.

James: "You've got a nice range. I'm going to put you in the 2nd Mezzo-Soprano group. It falls between the alto and soprano voices, but the 2nd group is closer to the sopranos. Is that okay with you?"

Jacqui: "Um..." She thought about it for a second. She's glad that she has a nice range, but she is so used to be a soprano. She didn't want to sound kind of bratty though if she said no. "Ok, sure."

Atarsi:She sprayed water on her legs. and she went to the piano her voice was an soprano so she would be fine.

Cerulean:Her wings fluttered a bit. And she walked to the piano her voice was an mezzo-soprano.

James: He smiled at her. "Awesome, thanks. You can take a seat in that section over there. He pointed to the 2nd section of seats.

James: "Which one of you ladies is next?" He asked the two girls.

OOC: Newsies, what type of choir is this? (like SATB, SSA, etc.)

OOC: I've been thinking about it because there aren't too many guys. Last year, in my school choir, we had two boys. Two. So my choir director did us in "3 parts" instead of SSAA/SATB/SSATB. Basically, the really high sopranos sang 1, the lower sopranos/higher altos sang 2, and then the low altos and men sang 3. I however, did not like the arrangements for the music we had. I think this choir is going to be SATB for now.

OOC: That's what I thought at first, but wouldn't it be SSATB if there's mezzo sopranos?

Olivia: She stood in line happy to know she'd be an alto for another year instead of stressing over where she'd be placed.
