Dis Double stroller and shops?

So do you just not go in the shops or park it outside? I've never really seen strollers parked outside shops?

I'm in deliberation mode of bringing 2 singles or renting a double. Why is it so hard!!!

DH says to rent the double.
- easy if we split up he or I can take both kids
- no strollers on the bus to deal with (DH loves this aspect)

Cons
- may fight? not typical but a week of togetherness..kwim.
- harder in crowds
- cant take in shops?
- have to carry tired kids out of the parks and to the hotel

WE went last June 07, and our twins were 2.5 yo at that time. We brought our own strollers, 2 single ones. I found it easier to navigate the crowds with the singles as opposed to the doubles. Plus your home ones may be more comfy, as the park ones are hard plastic.

On the bus/monorail we did have to deal with them, but after the first time, we were pros, and could get it folded and help the kids on the bus/monorail with no problem. Actuall most times we left the strollers up on the monorail...only folded them on the buses.

Also it was nice to have them while waiting for the buses to arrive, sometimes there were no places to sit...and it was good to have a place for the kids to rest. And also it was nice to have the strollers for thel ong walk back to the rooms. It can be a hike...even on the monorail, we stayed at the GF, and the walk form the monorail to the room was not short at all.

when are you going? I read somewhere that is the summer months and holiday's they can run out of rentals. (stroller and wheelchairs) We brought our own big, front to back double (after much consideration) and I was SO thankful. My back didn't hurt from pushing a small stroller and the kids were comfy and able to nap. Plus not having to carry a sleeping child for a mile is something I was not up for at the end of the night.

We rented a double a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. It was very easy to push and the boys loved it.
